Senior Account Manager - Alcohol brands (Client Engagement)

We Are Social is on the lookout for a confident, enthusiastic and passionate Senior Account Manager/Account Supervisor to join our team in Toronto. You’ll have the opportunity to report into the Group Account Director across multiple exciting alcohol brands on one client portfolio.

Our Client Engagement team works closely with the Editorial, Creative, and Strategy teams as well as the Research & Insights and Production leads.

You must have a robust and competent understanding of the social media landscape and social channels, including being on top of all channel developments and the opportunities they offer to brands.

Above all, we want you to have the drive to grow our office through amazing Client Partnerships and be hungry to deliver industry defining work and ideas worth talking about.

What does the role involve?

  • Management of day to day client activities
  • Overall management of the client relationship; we want you to be a partner, not just a process manager - displaying the interest to get to know their business and help lead the team in offering solutions to their challenges
  • Management of the strategic and longer term planning of the overall client accounts
  • Manage the status reporting both internally and externally
  • Day to day team management - ensuring people across all disciplines who work on the businesses you lead have the information necessary to complete their tasks
  • Ensuring that all activity follows sign off processes both for yourself and your team
  • Working closely with the Production lead to compile budgets and timing plans for clients
  • Forecasting and accurate reconciliations to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Active involvement in new business pitching and preparation
  • Creation of client report presentations as required and appropriate

What are we looking for?

  • A confident, passionate and enthusiastic professional between 5-7 years experience in a creative agency working in social and/or digital, alcohol or other regulated client experience a plus
  • Experience in working on luxury clients a strong plus
  • Articulate and able to present confidently to both clients and internal team
  • A curiosity for the brightest and best in social, and translating this into brilliant creative and editorial executions
  • Obsessed with the internet, and can speak only in meme language, if needed!
  • Natural curiosity and understanding of consumer behaviours and mindset in social
