Job Description

Our client is looking for a National Business Development Manager with a strong engineering background. This is a high profile position reporting directly to the Shareholders. We are looking for someone with over 10 years of experience in the Mining industry in North America. In addition, you will bring 5+ years of sales leadership experience. Opportunity to help a market leader expand into Canada.

What we offer:

  • Title: National Business Development Manager
  • Location: GTA, Ontario
  • Reporting to: Shareholders
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday
  • Salary: $140,000 – 180,000
  • Permanent Full time, with benefits

What you do:

  • Strategize, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth
  • Design daily operational programs that achieve organisational objectives
  • Manage employee activities, providing suitable resources.
  • Establish and grow relationships with relevant partners.
  • Establish cost parameters and manage overall profit & loss for company.
  • Maintain plan for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales.
  • Facilitate the integration of the North American operations into the collective global growth strategy.
  • Supervise employee productivity and provide internal processes for improved efficiency while adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Provide data analytics of sales, distributors, and partners to shareholders.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic initiatives with the shareholders.
  • Create and maintain rolling three-month and six-month plans for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales.
  • Participate in development of competitor analyses and pricing strategy.
  • Support customer-facing operations, including sales, marketing, and public relations.

Who are you:

  • Preferred education background, degreed in Engineering or Business Development
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in a business management or similar role
  • 10+ years’ experience within the North American minerals and mining market
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business strategies suited to an evolving path to growth and adaptation for the company.
  • Strong ability with financial and budgetary processes
  • Superior leadership skills, with focus on employee coaching and development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A hands-on approach to all facets of retooling the business
