The main purpose of this role is to grow sales and market share of expendables in North America, ensuring sales targets are met. This involves managing local distributors, providing technical support to North American customers, and supporting expendable installations at customer sites when necessary. The role also includes responsibilities for hot and cold repairs, acting as the main point of contact for emergency repairs or planned maintenance, managing relationships with local installation partners, and coordinating with technical experts to recommend the best solutions for customer repairs. This field sales role aims to cultivate customer proximity and identify opportunities for all solutions, representing the company in customer plants, generating and following up on quotes, and supporting sales managers in promoting care and expendables to their customers.
Roles And Responsibilities
Manage and support local distributors in growing sales
Provide technical support to North American customers with the help of central technical teams in Europe
Support expendable installation at customer sites when required
Ensure timely and qualitative processing and delivery of expendable quotes and orders
Act as the main point of contact for emergency repairs or planned maintenance operations
Manage relationships with local installation partners, providing information and training on solutions
Coordinate with technical experts to recommend solutions for customer repairs
Follow up and coordinate the supply of materials for repair projects from local inventory
Provide onsite customer support for product installation and collaborate with installation companies and partners during the installation of Care products
Represent the company in customer plants, following up on the performance of solutions
Present the full range of solutions, identifying cross-selling opportunities and generating leads for the North American sales team
Generate and follow up on quotes for opportunities identified during visits
Support with 3D scans and other service interventions at customer plants
Must-Have Qualifications
Technical expertise in the glass industry, industrial ceramics, materials, and/or refractories
Willingness to learn about glass furnaces and their operations with a focus on refractories
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and influence their decision-making through effective communication, material knowledge, and understanding of customer requirements
Dedicated, self-starter with a high degree of motivation, reactive to customer requests, and driven to grow and develop a business.
Willingness to travel more than 75% of the time for customer site visits, primarily in North America
