    The quality and the maximum safety of foods widely depend on the packaging of products, where the plastic is increasingly used as a packaging material. In this context and to ensure consumer safety, several studies are conducted to determine the possible changes that should be introduced in the food composition.
    This study focused on two polymer types (PET and PP) used for fats - margarine and sunflower oil- as well as on the packaging used and provided by CEVITAL - an important food and industrial company.
    The method used is the migration phenomena quantification between the thermoplastic packaging (container) and food (content) using existing models in order to make a comparative analysis based on experimental data. The final objective of the latter analysis is to synthesize a methodology that allows a significant time and money saving.
