  • BMO Harris Mobile Appointment Booking App

    During the first few weeks of starting with BMO, the BMO Harris Mobile Appointment Booking App project was pushed my way.

    I had never managed the E2E of an app before and was thrown into the deep end with this project.   • Sears Blowout Mowout Event

    This was a difficult campaign to pull-off that involved a great deal of healthy debate. Our vendor came to us with an opportunity; they had thousands of lawnmower units sitting in their warehouses and they wanted us to help them rid of this inventory. The catch was... we were required to sell these lawnmowers in the middle of a snow-filled January.

    At first, I was opposed to the idea. Who would buy an old lawnmower in January? Additionally, I knew that we would be removing thousands of…

    This was a difficult campaign to pull-off that involved a great deal of healthy debate. Our vendor came to us with an opportunity; they had thousands of lawnmower units sitting in their warehouses and they wanted us to help them rid of this inventory. The catch was... we were required to sell these lawnmowers in the middle of a snow-filled January.

    At first, I was opposed to the idea. Who would buy an old lawnmower in January? Additionally, I knew that we would be removing thousands of potential Spring mower purchasers (at full price) from the market that year. However, when I began to realise that the overall Sears strategy wasn't a long term growth strategy, I decided that I would push to get a small budget for the creative and would invest a bit of time to push the mowers out. It was mostly a social media strategy and the messaging was very cheeky, simple, and aligned with Sears' new master brand.

    This is the creative and tagline that I thought was most appropriate for the event. The entire inventory of approximately 2,500 mowers sold out in under an hour of launch. It was a great success for my category that season.
