    Founder/CEO of JustMyx Beverage Co

With each passing day, I grow increasingly grateful for the many blessings I've received throughout my time at Western University. I am honoured that my business has been recognized and considered for a potential Business 1220 case study in the next school year. I also want to give a shoutout to Western Founders Network, Western's Marketing Association (WMA), and W5 - Western Entrepreneurs for the opportunities I've had to share my insights with the next generation of business students and entrepreneurs at various workshops and panels. These are moments that will remain etched in my memory forever. This year, May 1st symbolizes the end of my undergraduate journey and the start of my undivided focus on the growth of my business. 6 months ago I promised myself that JustMyx would have retail distribution across Canada within 1 calendar year. Today we are available in over 150 stores in Ontario, 4 in British Columbia, 2 in Quebec, 1 in Manitoba, 1 in Saskatchewan, and 1 in Alberta. Over the next six months, we aim to secure the remaining provinces and stock more stores within them, pushing us closer to crushing this goal. I'm uncertain where this novel journey will ultimately lead me, but so far, it's been the ride of a lifetime.

With Batch 2 applications in full swing, we're highlighting some amazing mentors who have been huge supporters of the RippleX Fellowship 🌊 ! Here are some topics we covered together last batch ✨ : - Braden Ream (CEO, Voiceflow): Mastering storytelling and navigating selling into enterprises - Rahul Parmar (Prev. Senior Director of Sales, Drata): Sales 101 – Converting pilots to real revenue, creating urgency among buyers, and best practices to manage a sales process - Nicholas Chepesiuk (CEO, OnCall Virtual Care, now part of Qualifacts): Striving towards product-market fit, utilizing creative outbound strategies, and the importance of building trust with customers in the early days - Justin Sky (CEO, Rose Rocket): Identifying venture-scale markets, learning when to pivot, and building strong organizational culture - Josh Gray (CEO, Artemis): Conducting customer validation, segmenting your ICP, and advice for young founders ➡ If you also want the opportunity to learn from the fantastic line-up above, join our next batch (H2'24) 🚀 ! Quick refresher on us: The RippleX Founder Fellowship is a 6-month program for underrepresented student founders building companies in B2B software. We aim to support founders strategically in identifying the right problem, validating it with customers, and prepare founders for potential funding from the Fellow Fund ($50-100K on a standard YC SAFE). The goal is to help them get access to otherwise hard-to-obtain resources, customers, and capital. Besides fireside chats with our mentors, our fellows benefit from weekly strategic sessions led by the Ripple team, as well as a vibrant, supportive builder community innovating alongside other ambitious founders. 👀 Read more about the program here: https://lnkd.in/gbGU2EWJ 📌 Apply by April 26: https://lnkd.in/gFj5PB8s Cc: Dominic Lau Nazuk Thakkar Katie Ko Matt Cohen

Since starting my Linkedin journey almost 2 months ago, I wanted to share the amazing events I've been able to participate in and my achievements in them. UNICEF x WEB Case Competition | 4th Place | Jan 24-26th Joined by teammates Hao Ni, Peter Hu, Bryan Chen, and Mina Yoo, we tackled H&M's unethical behaviors and presented our 3 step plan. Although unannounced on the podium, after some deliberation and feedback from judges Bloom Coaching, Corbin Weber, and Brennan Vogel, we fell short in 4th. W5 Steve Jobs Pitching Night | 1st Place | Jan 30th I and my teammates Joanna Liu, Jacob Lee, and Avan Chan were tasked with innovating a self-moving shoe in just 40 minutes. Ultimately, with our ability to sell our product and indicate its possibilities, we'd come out in 1st. SSC DELTA Case Competition | 3rd Place | Feb 20-23rd After submitting my application and desire to compete, I'd be 1 of 4 individual applicants selected. Qualifying for the second round, I met with Vishva Patel, Simon Tan, and Jiehua Chen to consult Compassion's issues in just 3 hours. Presenting our "Constrict, Connect, and Condense" plan, we'd qualify for the final round. We'd then be tasked with consulting WhiteWater Specialities Ltd in just 3 hours. Presenting our "Determine, Deliberate and Diversity" plan, we would achieve 3rd place. Thanks to judges: Dhiraj Hariramani, Mohammed Perves, Deanna Galati, MBA, Srikanth Raghavan, MBA, BBA, and Ibrahim Rana for their excellent feedback and the conversations we shared. WMA Impact Conference | 2nd Place | Mar 3rd Faced with solving a company's flaws and desire to become the biggest e-commerce website, we were given 3.5 hours to create a solution. Joined with my teammates Max Wong, Johnny Hu, and Chris (Jingyi) Chen, we'd present our solutions to use AWS Cloud and add unique AI features. Ultimately, we would fall just short in 2nd place. I would like to express appreciation to judges Camila Zanao, Dennis Chen, Clare Malhinha, and Lucas Aikins for their amazing feedback and Jeff Chan for his insightful speech. DMSA Case Competition | 2nd Place | Mar 10th Lastly, I and my teammate, Bryan Chen, would be tasked with how we can establish CocaCola's brand image as sustainable in just 4 hours. Eventually, I would present our solutions of utilizing sustainable materials as well as a reusable bottle system. As a final result, we'd achieve 2nd place. I'd like to express a massive thanks to Bryan Chen, who despite having complications and us already short-handed, was able to help me through the preparation phase and prevent me from disqualification. I would also like to express my gratitude to judges Krish Kapoor, Eric Wei, and Armaan Sandhu. I will conclude this post by thanking everyone I've collaborated with and the amazing hosts: UNICEF Western, W5 - Western Entrepreneur Association, Schulich Consulting Club (SCC), Western's Marketing Association (WMA), and DAN Management Students' Association (DMSA). #casecompetition #pitching
