You can definitely go to our CEO page Azadeh Dastmalchi for those wow times, but today I want to share with you my story with the very first person that I reconnect at #startupfest2024 Soula Chronopoulos , our remarkable mentor at McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship that we met her #mcgill #dobsoncup competition in 2019. After our final pitch, she invited us for a follow-up meeting. At that time, she was also mentoring through the #X1Accelerator. I vividly remember the meeting because my daughter was only eleven months old, and I was overwhelmed with the challenge of balancing motherhood and my entrepreneurial dreams. In her office, I confessed my doubts about managing both roles. Soula was incredibly supportive, reassuring me that many have successfully navigated this path before. Her encouragement was pivotal, affirming that I could indeed pursue my entrepreneurial journey while being a new mom. Sometimes just 1 hour meetings with someone could change they total life and a game changer! Throwing it back to last Thursday, when our 5 Breakthrough Challenge Alliance finalists (VitalTracer Ltd., iFocus Health, WeavAir, Shemha Health Ltd. and Telegenz) pitched their solutions to a panel of judges. And the winners are: 1st Place - VitalTracer Ltd. 2nd Place - iFocus Health 3rd Place - WeavAir Honorable mentions: Telegenz and Shemha Health Ltd. Our top 3 winners will move on to work with HITLAB's Researchers to assess the useability of the solutions.

Quick recap of today's sessions... We heard from leaders from across the healthcare industry about Women's Health, AI in women's health, wearables and health equity. The five Innovator's that were designated as Breakthrough Alliance Challenge Finalists each presented their own pitch to a panel of judges. The top 3 finalists included: 1st Place: VitalTracer Ltd.: presents the VitalTracer Platform, a wireless monitoring system designed for collecting vital signs in home settings. By tracking vital signs, healthcare providers can remotely assess patient health, facilitating early discharge and improving pediatric care.  2nd Place: iFocus Health: Introduces groundbreaking eye-tracking technology that objectively measures ADHD treatment progress using the patient’s laptop. By analyzing eye movements during reading, it assesses concentration and impulse control, enabling personalized treatment optimization. The product is now available for patients and clinicians. 3rd Place: WeavAir: Their digital health solution utilizes predictive AI algorithms, radar, and ultrasonic sensors to remotely monitor the health status of the elderly. By providing early warning and rescue for abnormal situations, WeavAir aims to improve the well-being of seniors.  Honorable Mentions: Shemha Health Ltd.: solution that is set to transform cancer care. By delivering personalized and predictive treatment pathways, #PrOPA aims to improve outcomes for millions of patients worldwide. Telegenz:  Addresses the gap in clinical training by providing a platform tailored for telemedicine training and accreditation. Unlike generic solutions like Zoom and Teams, Telegenz offers specialized tools for enhancing clinical skills and knowledge transfer.  We are looking forward tonight's cocktail session being co-hosted by ReadHealthy Communications, LLC.
