June 13th is Global Fatty Liver Day Today is dedicated to raising awareness and urgency around early screening for Fatty Liver Disease (FLD) which affects millions of people around the world. #GlobalFattyLiverDay has a goal of educating people on the actions that they can take to help with early diagnosis of FLD and early interventions that help to prevent it. Left unchecked, FLD can lead to cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver transplant.     As part of our ongoing commitment to public health, Sentrex encourages all individuals, particularly those with risk factors such as obesity, diabetes, and sedentary lifestyles, to discuss the importance of liver health with their healthcare providers. Celebrating the success of the first National DAN Leadership Summit! On Friday May 31, our very own Alan Birch brought together a diverse group of Drug Access Navigators (DANs) from across the country in partnership with Drug Access Canada to host the first National DAN Leadership Summit. During this event, we explored the indispensable role of Drug Access Navigators in our healthcare system and engaged in candid conversations about the daily challenges they face. The group brainstormed how to create impactful solutions to some of these hurdles, and we united to share resources and knowledge within the DAN community to enhance patient care. Sentrex raises $5,000 and powers up to eliminate avoidable blindness.    Members of our amazing Sentrex team flexed their muscles on Sunday May 26th at the 2024 Orbis Plane Pull for Sight event! This annual charity event unites teams across Canada in support of bringing critical training, sight-saving treatment, vital resources and essential eye care services to the people and communities who need it most.    This year, our team of passionate Sentrex “pullers” worked together to pull a 60-tonne FedEx 757 cargo plane and raised $5,000 for Orbis to eliminate avoidable blindness.
