🚨 Long sappy post alert 🚨 Today is Orpyx® Day, and we celebrated with some 80s radio, Orpyx trivia, and wearing our Orpyx gear. It's easy to list the things I love about Orpyx, like: 🌈 Awesome benefits 💛 Meaningful work 👯 Top-notch culture 🙌 Amazing CEO and leadership team (yes, Breanne is as awesome IRL as you've heard) 💡 Cool, innovative tech 💯 World-class team But no matter what I write, it always just sounds like platitudes. The best part is all the feels I get (and the ones I don’t). The feeling when people thank me at work, and I actually believe they mean it. When we complete their 30-day check-ins, and they tell us it is the warmest, most talented team and a seamless onboarding. Or when I log onto a meeting and see so many amazing passionate people. Just to name a few 😉 Even better, though, is what I don’t feel. When I recruit for Orpyx, I never have a pang of guilt that I might have pulled the new hire away from a better job. I’ve had that, and it sucks. I never worry that I’ll be put in a situation where I’ll wonder, “Did we really do the right thing?” Working at Orpyx, I’ve never laid awake at night wondering when I’ll next be put in a situation where my personal ethics are challenged (and not in a good way). Working in HR, there have been times I’ve had to balance what I'm told to do at work and what I believe is right and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve had two kids and two knee surgeries)! I love working at a place where my personal values align with the organizational ones and we actually do the right thing, it isn't just something we say. Plus, I get to work with all the amazing peeps that call themselves Orpyx-ers. Orpyx Day really is a great day!
