It’s no longer science fiction to be able to track the location of every drone above an entire city – and the person controlling it. Today, ONE9, in partnership with Hidden Level Inc., and the Ottawa International Airport Authority / Administration de l'aéroport international d'Ottawa hosted a #UASdetection and tracking technology showcase at ONE9 Capability Labs in Ottawa. This demonstration brought together #nationalsecurity experts and government end-users to see firsthand the advanced airspace monitoring capabilities developed by Hidden Level Inc. and to learn more about how this technology can guard our airspace in a city like #Ottawa. ONE9 is in #Japan! Our COO, Michael Smith, attended the inaugural IndoPaCT #dualuse Innovation Symposium, speaking on two panels and bringing the #canadian perspective on innovation and investment. Japan's defence posture is changing in response to the #CPC, and along with it its need for a vibrant dual-use innovation and investment ecosystem. Canada is a vital member of the Indo-Pacific and must support its neighbours and allies whenever possible. The Symposium also featured presentations by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), NavalX, AFWERX, highlighting their active innovation efforts in the region. "Si Vis Pacum Para Bellum". If you want peace, prepare for war. I have long said that we are going to pay for defence spending one way or the other. This public scolding of Justin Trudeau is a warning call by a bi-partisan group of #US Senators holding Canada's feet to the fire an start acting like grown ups in a dangerous world. For #canadians that think the #usa will provide us a blanket of security you are sorely mistaken. If you think defence is expensive now... just wait until we need it... We MUST spend aggressively on defence to create a deterrence with our Allies to ensure that our adversaries and expansionist aggression is held in check. I know Canada is more concerned about climate change spending... but do you know what is really bad for climate change and will kill our kids faster than a warming planet? ... nuclear war.
