It’s a historic day for NexGen Energy as Saskatchewan Minister of Environment, Christine Tell, has granted Provincial Environmental Approval to the Rook I Project. This major milestone is key in meeting the surging global demand for ethically sourced uranium, and advancing positive outcomes for the Province of Saskatchewan and Canada. Today, we celebrate our progress and deep partnership with local Indigenous communities as the Province of Saskatchewan cements its position as a leader in the carbon-free energy transition. We commend the Province for their transparent and diligent regulatory process, and their recognition of the unparalleled value and future opportunities the Rook I Project will provide for local communities, Saskatchewan, and Canada. As the first company in more than 20 years to receive full Provincial Environmental Assessment approval for a uranium project, Rook I will be the most significant uranium supplier producing enough fuel to power 46 million homes or save the equivalent emissions of taking 70 million vehicles off the road annually. NexGen Energy CEO Leigh Curyer joined andrew bell on BNN Bloomberg to provide an update on our game-changing Rook I project. During the interview, Leigh highlighted that Rook I is one of the most profitable resource projects in the world and that with a 12 month payback, it provides an incredible economic return on dollars invested into the project. Leigh also discussed the expansion of mineralization at NexGen’s Patterson Corridor East (PCE) where the results of NexGen’s drilling and testing at PCE indicate a large, pervasive and high-grade system that offers immense potential for the advancement of the southwest Athabasca Basin as the future of Canada’s uranium industry growth over the balance of this century. Two months into our summer drill program, we have drilled the best hole to date and materially expanded the discovery at PCE, with 8 out of 12 holes intersecting mineralization, including 4 with intense mineralization >61,000 cps. With similar geological characteristics, PCE is surpassing Arrow at the same stage of drilling, in terms of size & extent, suggesting a large, high-grade system! ICYMI our Founder and CEO Leigh Curyer was recently interviewed on Money Movers CNBC to discuss the advancement of the Rook I Project and the critical role it will play to meet the growing global demand for secure allied uranium sources to fuel the nuclear energy renaissance. Rook I will be the largest source of high-grade, low-cost uranium globally, capable of producing 30M pounds of uranium annually, accounting for 25% of the world’s uranium supply, and 50% of the Western world’s uranium supply.
