📢 #MHnS and Stantec teams are thrilled about a new collaboration with one of our longstanding clients, the City of Lloydminster ! Under the guidance of the City’s Environmental Service’s team, we will be working on an Integrated Waste Management and Facility Master Plan to guide the city’s solid waste management for the next twenty years.🌱 ♻ Advancing Lloydminster’s City Council’s strategic goals in environmental stewardship, this comprehensive plan will assess the current waste management system and identify strategies to enhance and support it. Key focus areas include: • Waste Reduction and Reuse • Waste Diversion • Alternative Waste Technologies (including Waste-to-Energy) • Landfilling options ⌛ Although in the early stages, we are excited about the collaboration between #MHnS and Stantec’s waste planning and landfill engineering teams, as well as leaders from City of Lloydminster administration. 👏 With our combined expertise and dedication to our client, we are confident we can help improve Lloydminster’s waste management systems. We look forward to engaging with City Council, key stakeholders, and the public to gather valuable input as we develop the Master Plan. Stay tuned for updates! #WasteManagement #Sustainability #CityPlanning #WasteReduction #BetterTogether

🌡 Climate change risks such as heat waves, flooding, wildfires, and poor air quality are significantly affecting the safety, livability, operating and repair costs for residential buildings across British Columbia. 💡 @BCHousing partnered with #MHnS to create a first-of-its-kind, portfolio-scale Climate Risk Assessment Framework (#CRAF) tool to enable standardized integration of climate risk and resilience to its assets across the province. 🔎 The tool enables a streamlined and economical approach to assessing site viability, developing proposal scoring for new developments, risk mitigation strategy identification and prioritization, and project budget allocation for risk mitigation and climate-focused projects. 👍 Benefits include improving resident health and safety, reducing long-term O&M costs, maintaining standards of service, and guiding the direction of policies and actions. The tool’s flexibility allows for future expansion to include additional climate risks and communities. #ClimateRiskAssessment #ClimateResilience #ClimateChange

The #MHnS team's work on the City of Winnipeg St. Vital Bridge over the Red River Rehabilitation project has been honored with an Award of Excellence at the annual Association of Consulting Engineering Companies Manitoba (#ACEC-MB) Awards.🏆 Built in 1965, the bridge now serves 44,000 vehicles daily. The $50M initiative extends the bridge's lifespan by 50 years and featured bridge rehabilitation, roadworks re-imaging, and active transportation network expansion. Our multidisciplinary team overcame complex challenges, ensuring stakeholder needs were met. This project showcases elegant engineering design, advanced analysis techniques, and integrated collaboration for a cost-effective and robust rehabilitation. 🌉 Kudos to our multidisciplinary team for their collaborative efforts in delivering this impactful project for the City of Winnipeg! 👏
