At the inaugural KCI ACE Summit, we were challenged to come up with a unique word to describe a day (any day) during a Communication session led by Anthea Rowe from Exmplify. So what words could we use to appropriately sum up these amazing days we had together in Toronto this week? 💗 Heartwarming 💗 Fulfilling 💗 Electrifying 💗 Magnificent 💗 Delightful 💗 Engaging 💗 Fun-filled 💗 Hilarious 💗 #theKCIway …the list could go on! The ACE Summit was aptly named to correspond to KCI’s core values: *Accountability, *Collaboration and *Excellence. The focus of the content and discussion was centered around not only the values themselves but also the behaviours that align to each value. In addition to honing our communication skills with Anthea, we enjoyed ✨ “Lessons from the Pro” delivered by our recently retired Queen of Executive Care Marjie Lowe ✨ We participated in a practical workshop on effective feedback led by Dane Jensen from Third Factor ✨ We gained perspectives on strategic partnerships (and heard cool stories!) from Martin O'Brien, MSc and Frank O Farrell Tech (IOSH) from Powermill: Corporate Event Solutions ✨ We stayed connected and informed through our comprehensive event app hosted by our partners at Amego and Scott Owens ✨ We formed teams and competed in a scavenger hunt in downtown Toronto ✨ We got active together at Barry's Bootcamp, Sweat and Tonic and ditched a run in a thunderstorm for the hotel gym ✨ We laughed (and cried a little!) together at the ACE awards ceremony ✨ We gathered greater insights into the direction of the business and we LOVED being together!! We’re so fortunate to be in the business of bringing people together and delivering meaningful and engaging experiences and the KCI ACE Summit was a terrific reminder of why we #lovewhatwedo!

✨2023 has been MAGICAL! Our tally shows that in 2023 we planned and delivered more than 80 events across 50 cities, 9 countries, and bonded over 600 nights on the road together!🤝🌍🥂 💝As we close the chapter on 2023, we celebrate not only internal milestones but the diverse talents and voices that shaped our narrative throughout the year. It may well be the winter-limbo time of year, but over at KCI we’re soaking up knowledge from our most recent partner series call. There is massive value in these internal info sharing sessions and this time we heard from Hirsch Leatherwood, a strategic communications firm. They spoke on how KCI can partner with them (and our clients) on a variety of communication needs such as content development, speaker planning, keynotes, etc. We look forward to continuing this series into 2024 and bringing the best of our stellar network to our clients. #lovewhatwedo #theKCIway

Tis the season for us to tell you how much you mean to us!😘 We have an abundance of GRATITUDE as we reflect on the opportunities we’ve had this year. We travelled to cool destinations and delivered outstanding experiences with our industry partners, all while ensuring our clients achieved their business objectives. This incredible charity brings holiday magic to families in need by providing a custom care package filled with personalized gifts, essential items, and a festive meal. A few of our Ontario team members volunteered in Santa's workshop, sorting and wrapping packages so that they can be delivered just in time for the holidays. Tis the season! Our team in the London office are as busy as Santa’s elves putting together gift boxes for The Shoebox Project for Women. KCI Appreciation Week! Each year our dedicated People Team selects a week in November to celebrate the amazing rock stars at KCI and since 2019, this has been fondly dubbed ‘KCI Appreciation Week’! This year, the focus was on ‘Finding Joy’ and the week was comprised of multiple moments of gratitude, wellness, and an abundance of surprises. Check out some of our favorite highlights from the week: ·      Daily coaching on Mindset + Wellness with Coach Julie Vincent, who led prompts to bring attention to GRATITUDE, KINDNESS, MIND+BODY CONNECTION, and the importance of SELF-CARE. Like a gift that keeps on giving, we were offered practices that can be personalized and implemented daily to create positive habits beyond this special week. ·      Finding #glimmers – The opposite of triggers, glimmers are rather small moments of joy and peace (aka the tiny moments of goodness that are all around us). We love a good Glimmer! ·      Gifts with purpose – We were invited to select a special gift from Poppy & Peonies, a Métis female-founded and cruelty-free Canadian accessory brand. We were also offered the gift of TIME where we each have the opportunity to give back to our individual communities and favorite charities this holiday season.  ·      THANK YOU video messages – A favorite tradition in Appreciation Week is receiving the individual ‘thank you’ videos from our fearless leader Kimberley Clarke. It is a special moment of authentic recognition and gratitude where she reflects on each member of the team with appreciation and inspiration.
