Realize your entrepreneurial ambitions
About us
At Jigsaw, we’re on a mission to improve the small business ownership experience. Our advisory services go beyond conventional coaching – we're your dedicated partner in realizing your entrepreneurial ambitions. When asked why their business exists, most business owners describe 'what' they do. They've lost touch with the impact they set out to make for their clients when they started their businesses. We help them reconnect and refocus. We believe that connecting business purpose and strategy builds better businesses. We don't stop at clarifying the purpose, we help business owners to embed it in everything they do. We work with clients one-on-one or as a group. Our Peer RoadMap Groups bring together small groups of business owners to build purpose-driven roadmaps. Participants learn from an accomplished Business Strategist who leads the sessions and from each other. Identifying better solutions that lead to better decision making. The result is more focused and confident business owners, happier customers, more engaged employees and better financial results.

Are you an Under-Manager? We've all heard of Micro-Managers - the bosses who cannot relinquish any control, require constant updates, interfere in minor decisions, and show little trust in their employees' abilities. But have you heard of the phrase Under-Management before? This HBR article describes Under-Management, which is characterized by insufficient goal setting, conflict avoidance and lack of accountability. The article explains why this is also a problematic management style. Taken to the extreme, I would call it Management by Abdication- a phenomenon that is often seen in small businesses with very lean teams. The owner is commonly so overloaded in this scenario that when they finally hire someone to take work off their plate, they train them and then disappear. Check out this informative article that describes more about Under-Management and how to stop doing it. #UnderManagement #Micromanagement #LeadershipBalance #EmployeeEmpowerment #EffectiveManagement #TeamAutonomy #Delegation #EmployeeTrust #LeadershipDevelopment #OrganizationalPerformance https://lnkd.in/gGY7rJ2s

How do you collaborate with people you don't like? If you're like me, the face of a certain person, I didn't particularly like, came to mind immediately. Surprisingly, this image wasn't accompanied by the same feelings of irritation or frustration I experienced back in the day when I worked with her. It was followed by a moment of regret, sadness and even a little shame. Why was I unable to find common ground and work through it with them? I now know that a common cause of not getting along is a difference in style or personality. While it may feel personal, it's most often not. I wish I hard tried harder. Moreover, there is a manageable approach to work through the disconnect and foster a productive working relationship. It is possible to collaborate effectively with people you don’t like, but you have to take the lead. This article breaks down steps you can take to make collaboration work: ✅ Reflect on the cause of tension and how you are responding to it. ✅ Work harder to understand the other person’s perspective. ✅ Become a problem solver rather than a critic or competitor. ✅ Ask more questions. ✅ Enhance your awareness of your interpersonal style. ✅ Ask for help if needed. #TeamCollaboration #DifficultCoworkers #SmallBusinessTeamwork #EntrepreneurCollaboration #ConflictResolution #EffectiveCommunication #SmallBizTips #EntrepreneurLife #BusinessRelationships #SuccessfulCollaboration

The most common request we get from business owners is for guidance on how to hold someone on their team accountable. They are frustrated and frazzled. They don’t want a confrontation, so choose to step in and fill the gaps themselves. The result is a team that is under-performing and a boss who is focused on the wrong things and at risk of burn out. #JigsawPerformance #SmallBusinessGrowth #PeopleManagement #BusinessManagement #BusinessCoaching #JigsawInnerCircle #smallbusiness #accountability #productivity https://lnkd.in/g5vn9c8K
