Rick's nominator said that he has been a practicing consultant for over 25 years and has a long experience base in public service as a CMC. He practices in local government and governance and operations. He has mentored and advocated for CMCs and worked in a number of CMC teams. He has been very active with the Conservative party as a constituent President and volunteer and has been appointed as a public member to a number of organizations including the AIA and Asset. He was involved with ICMCA as a volunteer on the registration committee and as the Registrar. 🏆 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD WINNER 🏆 The Distinguished Service Award is awarded to CMCs who have rendered extensive, exemplary service to the profession, provided leadership to the CMC community, and whose professional achievements in their career have brought honour to the profession. Jeff's nominator said that shortly after Jeff earned his CMC (Mar 2019), he was elected to the Board (Nov 2019). In his nearly 5 years with the Board, Jeff has been a leader (serving as Secretary, Chair and now Past Chair) helping navigate the organization through a very difficult time of membership decline, threats to financial sustainability, and government policy changes that may alter the underpinnings of the Board and its mandate. Thanks to his leadership to drive and execute a refreshed strategy, ICMCA has seen various new ideas and initiatives to address these challenges. In parallel, Jeff has been able to start and grow his own management consulting firm, where he continues to exemplify the values and code of conduct/ethics, for his team and his clients.  Jeff also serves as ICMCA’s rep on the national board.
