Today, the Foundation is committing over $1M to transform the libraries of more than 30 Canadian elementary schools. Meet Naya, her school library was one of the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s $100,000 Literacy Fund Grant recipients in 2019. The grant provided her school library with a budget that exceeded more than 10 years of regular funding, and helped Naya explore her love of reading. At Indigo we believe every child deserves books, and inspiring a love of reading is at the core of all we do. Yesterday, with support from our Indigo Love of Reading Foundation and Wikwemekong Junior School Vice-Principal/reading advocate, Jackie Craig, 32 grade three students travelled over 2 hours to experience their first ever trip to a bookstore at our Chapters Sudbury location.
