This summer, GALAXIA was pleased to host a Circuit Building Workshop for the Ulnooweg Education Centre Pre-Collegiate Summer Camp! The Pre-Collegiate Camp provides Indigenous youth in grades 10-12 with engaging and interactive programs in STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) to explore topics they’re interested in, discover educational pathways, and build relationships with peers and industry professionals. During our interactive workshop, the students learned about entrepreneurship, the space sector and were introduced to circuits, transistors and logic gates. We were proud to host this fantastic group of students and look forward to continuing to engage with youth interested in learning about space. A Embrapa Territorial e a Concert Technologies assinaram hoje (22/05) um acordo de cooperação técnico-científica com o intuito de testar uma tecnologia que poderá agilizar o mapeamento da aquicultura no Brasil. O acordo prevê o uso de tecnologia SDS (Satélite Definido por Software) para detecção automática de viveiros escavados para aquicultura no território brasileiro. O software será embarcado na constelação de satélites que serão lançados pela GALAXIA Mission Systems na missão MÖBIUS, prevista para 2025. A assinatura oficial desta parceria ocorreu na sede da Embrapa Territorial, em Campinas, SP, e contou com a participação de Angelo Menhem (CTO) e Rafael Mordente (Diretor-Executivo). On Thursday, our team provided an in-depth demonstration of our MÖBIUS Software-Defined Satellite to the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne. 🌌 During this demo, our DevOps team along with our Space Engineering group shared how our hardware and software stack work, beginning from sensor data acquisition all the way to in-orbit processing and the real-time observation capabilities of our satellites. Using our proprietary software-defined satellite technology, GALAXIA is building Advanced Warning Systems for Arctic, Maritime, Land, and Air applications. 🛰 Last week at the Space Foundation's Annual Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, we had the opportunity to demonstrate how our system is being integrated into defense applications. Last week, GALAXIA completed the 8-week SoCal Accelerator program with a demo day at Caltech in LA. Send a personalized message and photo into space! 🛰 Working with our partners at the Discovery Centre we are launching this special initiative on Monday April 8, at the Discovery Centre, downtown Halifax at their Solar Eclipse Event! 🌒 How it works: you can use our tablet or your phone to take a selfie, or attach a photo of your choice and write a special message that you want to send to space. Each participant will receive their own custom boarding pass for the mission.
