Over the past year (30th June 2023 - 1st July 2024), 6 of Ensigns rigs, drilling for a major operator, delivered a whopping 2,181,000ft of lateral production hole, the top rig delivering 382,854ft – that’s equivalent to 412 miles, like driving from Midland to Oklahoma City! Nial Shepherd, VP of US Operations, praised our teams, saying: “This consistent performance demonstrates our unwavering commitment to ongoing improvement. Accomplishing this without any serious incidents proves that with thorough planning and clear communication, there are limitless possibilities for success.” Tom Horton, VP of Sales & Marketing, added: "Performance contracts are proving to be a game-changer, reaping benefits for our clients, Ensign as we deliver performance, and our crews who consistently achieve their bonus targets. We hope to see the industry move towards these win-win scenarios." We look forward to continuing achieving milestones in the coming year as we enhance equipment capabilities to keep pace with our rig crew. #oilfield #oilpatch #drillingrigs #drillingrig #oilandgas

A big thank you to those who supported Peter Koutsoukos’, VP of Australia Operations, fundraising efforts for Vinnie's CEO Sleepout initiative. Thanks to this combined effort, Peter was able to fundraise enough to provide 137 meals, 34 bed nights, and essential programs for 13 individuals! Check out Peter’s post to learn more about his experience at the event.

Vice President, Australian Operations at Ensign Energy Services

On the 20th June, I participated in my 2nd Vinnie’s CEO sleepout and slept rough. It was one night and it was far from comfortable and only a small fraction of the harsh conditions that many experience! There are thousands of individuals doing it tough every night. From the comfort of our warm homes and beds, this idea seems so far away, but the reality is it could happen to any one of us. The event was an incredibly humbling experience listening to stories of everyday people who have found themselves in unfortunate situations due to the rental market crisis, interest rates and rising costs in Australia.  With the important assistance provided by Vinnies, many have been given a second chance and the ability to get back up onto their feet. Vinnies is determined to help break the cycle of homelessness and your support goes directly to Vinnies Australia and the fantastic services they provide to so many in need. This year, with your support, you have helped me provide 117 meals, along with 29 bed nights and essential support programs for 11 individuals. Thank you to everyone who generously donated, your contributions have made a significant difference and goes a long way to helping the good work Vinnies do. For those of your still thinking about it - there is still time to donate via the link below. https://lnkd.in/gNUUF3_p #CEOSleepout Vinnies CEO Sleepout SA

What do you get when you combine your training and development skills from your work in the oilfield and take them to the ice? You become the recipient of the BFL CANADA Women in Coaching Awards in the Community category, both at the provincial and national level! Meet Jamie Keeley, our Global Director of Field Training, who has dedicated her career to working with employees to ensure they have the necessary training to do the job safely. In addition to training at work, Jamie has been coaching her son’s hockey team in her spare time. While coaching, she quickly realized there were opportunities to empower female coaches, so she did what she does best; she created a Female Coach Development Program. The program focuses on offering training and development opportunities to female coaches both on and off the ice. The aim of the program is to get more females behind benches to create diversity and assist in keeping girls involved in hockey at the community level. We asked Jamie for a piece of advice that crosses over in all areas of her training and she shared, “Teaching and learning, that’s what it’s all about! Whether it’s in the field or on the ice, it’s what keeps us moving forward as leaders, as employees, and as players.” #oilfield #hse #coaching #albertahockey #oilandgas

Shoutout to our US Directional Drilling team for building and designing a downhole motor which recently drilled 26,885 feet in a single BHA run! We’re proud of our motor shop team (pictured below in the shop) for their dedication to quality and above all, safety! The Shop team recently celebrated 8 years incident-free! This is just another example of our team’s hard work and attention to detail. Is 26,885 feet in a single run some kind of record? Let us know in comments below! #oilandgas #safetymilestone #directionaldriling #oilgas #oilfield #oilpatch

This week, Ensign Australia has been acknowledging and celebrating NAIDOC week across the country with this year’s theme ‘Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud’. To show our commitment and support to Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and future generations, we are proud to be able to support a local school, One Tree Hill Primary School, by granting a commissioned indigenous art mural (see below) completed by Scott Rathman, aboriginal artist. This mural will represent and educate the local children and families of the school and acknowledge the history and culture of the First Nations’s people. Further to this, we’ve remained committed and loyal towards providing employment and development opportunities through the Indigenous Leasehand Traineeship program and are continually looking to increase our trainee group across the national fleet. In addition, there is continual focus on reviewing of options available to increase focus on supplier diversity within Ensign Australia’s supply chain through identification of local indigenous business in the areas we operate. We encourage all team members to reflect on how they can continue to contribute to creating a culturally safe and welcoming workplace across our operations.
