    How are influencers still charging $20k for a brand deal but generating $0 in sales? The industry is filled with vanity metrics that look good on paper but don’t translate to real revenue. This is a core problem that we solve at Dreamwell AI, so I wrote down some of our learnings on how to translate reach into revenue, and result in high ROI influencer deals. Here are some key points: Conversion Funnel: Forget follower counts, focus on the data that drives conversions. With an influencer that has 100k estimated impressions, you might be looking at 40 sales at the bottom of the funnel. This is where your clickthrough and conversion rates make or break a campaign. AOV & LTV: The estimated 40 sales at an average order value (AOV) of $100 might bring you $4,000 initially. But with a lifetime value (LTV) of $400, that’s potentially $16,000 in long-term revenue. If your LTV isn’t high enough, it’s gonna be tough for many deals to make profit. Negotiating a Fair Price: With estimated conversions and a quoted price, you can predict cost per acquisition. Having these numbers in mind puts you in a strong position during price negotiations with influencers. Much less guesswork when negotiating off of their quote. Multiple Touch Points: One-off deals often won't cut it. Consistent messaging and frequency across multiple touch points are key to truly impactful influencer campaigns.     Marketers, are you keeping up with the evolving cookie privacy-concerns? Let's make it simple. 🍪 Cookies: Little bits of code stored in web browsers like Google Chrome and Safari that help distinguish between visitors. First-party vs Third-party cookies: First-party cookies: The cookie is owned and managed by the website you're on. More widely accepted by browsers due to privacy improvements and stored longer. Third-party cookies: The cookie is from and belongs to another website but is shared, think Facebook Pixel as an example. Less favoured due to privacy concerns because your data from one site can be easily looked up from another. In 2022, Meta, actually updated their pixel from just third-party cookies to supporting a first party option as well. This was a necessary move to avoid losing their valuable attribution insights as web browsers started blocking the data access from third-party cookies entirely. But, what about cookieless? Nowadays, modern tools like @Plausible count unique visitors using a combo of IP addresses and User-Agent without cookies or storing personal data. It's a respectful way to understand site traffic, though there are limitations like not distinguishing returning visitors over multiple days. Why is all this important? The world is shifting towards more privacy-focused practices, so this impacts how you collect and analyze marketing data. Good data is key to getting good revenue results. At Dreamwell AI, we prioritize being privacy-friendly.
