We are thrilled to introduce Ian Langmann to our Courtenay/Comox Team! Ian Langmann brings with him broad work experience. Surrounded by his father’s antique store at an early age Ian eventually became involved in selling and appraising international art and antiques and learning their restoration. Ian graduated from BCIT’s forestry program in 1990 and worked across the BC coast for Interfor before settling down again in Vancouver. Here, using his restoration knowledge, he started his own contracting firm renovating homes in Vancouver’s West Side. After deciding to move to Courtenay in 2012, Ian started with a local firm specializing in new home construction and eventually managed the construction of a multi-unit development. Returning to his work as an independent contractor, Ian continued doing renovations as well as working with several property management firms completing remediation and repairs to homes and strata units. Ian continually draws from this broad experience when dealing with residential, strata, and commercial claims, and eventually specialize in art and antique claims. Introducing the newest addition to our Duncan team, Caitlin Soto! With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Caitlin began her career in underwriting. She then moved to multi-line claims handling, covering areas from auto to liability, property, and commercial files. Prior to joining Coast Claims, she managed a national oil and gas account, handling all aspects of this account, including business interruption, oil/hazardous spills, aviation, and commercial files. We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan Lunt to Edmonton Coast Claims team! With over three decades of experience in the Insurance Industry. Jonathan has been a trusted field-based Adjuster since 1996, serving both Insurance companies and as an Independent adjuster across Alberta, Canada, and the UK. Jon has handled primarily property damage claims for Residential and Commercial losses including numerous CAT situations, including tornado, flooding , hail, wind, and fire. Jonathan's skill set extends to handling sensitive insurance industry staff claims and multiple bio-hazard situations. He has also worked extensively with Special Investigations unit to detect and prove fraud and has experience with Condominium claims for Condo Corporations and Unit Owners. As a senior adjuster, he has spent several years specializing in managing large-scale residential fire claims, demonstrating his ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and efficiency.
