Voice of Canada's Transportation Fuels Industry
About us
The voice of Canada's transportation fuels industry. Canadian Fuels Association represents the industry that produces, distributes, and markets petroleum products in Canada--including 95 percent of the transportation fuels Canadians rely on to remain mobile and globally competitive. CFA members are the companies who process crude oil into essential products like transportation fuels and get those products to market. Our sector contributes over $5 billion to Canada’s GDP each year and employs more than 116,000 Canadians at 16 refineries, 76 fuel distribution terminals and 12,000 retail and commercial sites. One of our prime goals is to help our members meet the environmental policy objectives of government and expectations of Canadians without compromising their access to a secure, reliable and competitively priced fuel supply.

Biofuels will be critical to reducing the carbon intensity of liquid fuels, which is necessary to achieve emissions reduction goals from legacy and new vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. Some wonder if we should divert crops to fuel production at the expense of food production. We released a study today to provide a fact-based assessment of the impact of crop-based biofuels on food supplies and prices. The study shares findings and conclusions which can be drawn from this review relating to: · Agriculture Land for Biofuels · Biofuels By-products and Food Production · Cost of Biofuels · Carbon Impact of Biofuels · Biofuels and Food Production Download the free report: https://bit.ly/3Yo8rtE #biofuels #agriculture #foodproduction #carbonimpact John Eichberger Jeff Hove Karl Doenges Marjorie Frankel Liz Menz Amy Kalafa Meagan Ray Ron Sabia Michael Roman Judge Dobrient John Metz Ryan Scott Jonathan Hackett Steve Przesmitzki Carrie Simms Joe Butler Brian Johnston CTP Jon Scharingson Doug Berven Erin Wroge Kristi Moriarty Kirk McCullick

This is great news! Congratulation!
Today, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador announced reserved Crown lands for North Atlantic’s new wind-to-hydrogen project as a part of our Green Energy Hub. We appreciate the Province’s continued support and openness to opportunities that advance our position in the clean energy transition. The North Atlantic Green Energy Hub will help stimulate economic growth and advance export-oriented projects in the green energy and low carbon sector in the Placentia Bay and Trinity Bay region. Leveraging one of NL’s most industrialized areas, this exciting initiative will: ✅ Develop, advance and execute green hydrogen projects and export the products they produce. ✅ Foster research and training opportunities that will be available for the participants in the green hydrogen industry. ✅ Act as a focal point for energy export. ✅ Serve as a catalyst for domestic hydrogen distribution and use.
