Yesterday, 02/29, we had the pleasure to deliver the CFDE donation to the 2 charities chosen by our Santa Cause honorees Tim Lalach and Frank Yeo. United Way and the Calgary Food Bank received $7,500 each as a result of all the people that supported our Santa Cause 2023 event. Thank you to all our members and enthusiasts for supporting our events! Curling on March 20th will be another great opportunity to support the Calgary Food Bank. We look forward to seeing you there. A great time was had by all last Thursday night at the 2023 Calgary Food & Drug Executives Santa Cause Event where we honoured two pillars of our industry in Western Canada - Tim Lalach from Federated Co-operatives Limited (centre left) and Frank Yeo from Western Grocer magazine (centre right). This year's honourees are shown below with CFDE President Leanne Sears and Santa Cause Director Jeff Shevchuk MBA. While we are still tallying the funds that will be donated to the honourees charities of choice, we do know that donations to the Calgary Food Bank exceeded 850 pounds plus cash and free product coupons. On November 30th, we invite you to come to the CFDE Santa Cause event and celebrate Tim Lalach and Frank Yeo and then stay for the AFTER PARTY! After the main event, we will all regroup on-site at the Carriage House for an after party to mix and mingle with this year's honourees and your industry colleagues. You can extend the party to the brink of dawn and park the car by staying at the Carriage House.
