Meet Donna, a dedicated senior mentor with BBBS Calgary's Between Generations program who was seeking to rebuild her community once she retired. With years of experience and a heart bursting with compassion, Donna understood the value of guidance and support. Through the Between Generations program, Donna offers her time and wisdom to help young people navigate life’s challenges. 📢Announcement📢 We are excited to share that the 3rd Annual @Sancon Commissioning Charity Golf Tournament, in support of BBBS Calgary, has raised $27,192.22. Way to go! 👏 Over the last three years, the team at Sancon Commissioning has been building a tremendous community of support for mentoring, and every year we have seen it grow with new sponsors and participants. Community match, Brandon and Jaxson, had a great time greeting participants and handing out welcome gifts. They even got into the swing of things on the driving range and putting green. Mentor, Dustin, joined us for dinner and had the opportunity to share his journey as a volunteer with the engaged audience. We are proud to serve Indigenous youth and their families at BBBS Calgary. We are committed to growing and learning together. This past year our staff, mentors and mentees have visited Blackfoot Crossing and Head Smashed In Buffalo jump to learn from Indigenous communities and learn more about the land. Our Board has committed to learning from those in our community too and we’re grateful to USAYCalgary for sharing their wisdom with us.
