At a meeting on July 9, 2024 the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission updated the lists of standards for the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of furniture" (TR CU 025/2012). The amendments were prepared based on the results of monitoring the adoption, application, updating and cancellation of standards included in the relevant lists, as well as on the results of the implementation of the program for the development of interstate standards for the specified technical regulation. The list of standards ensuring compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations includes six new ones, and three previously canceled standards are excluded. Four new standards have been included in the list of standards establishing product testing methods, and nine have been excluded. In addition, individual transitional periods of their application are provided for individual standards to be replaced (until February 1, 2025, according to one standard – until January 1, 2027). The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the lists of standards to the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the safety of perfumes and cosmetic products" (TR CU 009/2011). The lists of standards have been supplemented by seven interstate standards, three standards have been replaced by new versions from 2023. In order to adapt to the application of changes, as well as the accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, the draft stipulates that the newly included standards will be applied no earlier than January 1, 2025. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the lists of standards for the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "Electromagnetic compatibility of technical means" (TR CU 020/2011). In particular, the lists have been supplemented by the updated interstate standard GOST CISPR 35-2019, which allows multimedia equipment to be provided with electromagnetic compatibility requirements. It will replace the interstate standard GOST EN 55020-2016, in respect of which the decision provides for a transitional period of its application until July 1, 2025. Also, by the decision of the EEC Board, the period of application of the interstate standard GOST EN 50557-2018 is limited until August 1, 2024. Changes to these lists will come into force after 180 calendar days from the date of official publication of the decision of the Board of the Commission. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved amendments to the list of standards for research (testing) and measurement methods to the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On Food Safety" (TR CU 021/2011). They were prepared as part of the implementation of the requirements of the technical regulations, taking into account the changes made to it in terms of establishing the maximum permissible levels of residual amounts of veterinary medicines (pharmacologically active substances and their metabolites) in food products of animal origin, adopted by the Council of the Commission on June 23, 2023. The list has been supplemented with two new structural elements, which include 50 interstate standards, three national standards of the Russian Federation, three national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 34 methodologies. Two interstate standards, one state standard of the Republic of Belarus and five methodological guidelines of the Russian Federation are also included in the list of already existing structural elements. In addition, the national standard of the Russian Federation has been excluded from the list due to the adoption of the relevant interstate standard. The adopted amendments will enter into force on July 10, 2024. This date is interconnected with the date of entry into force of the amendments to TR CU 021/2011 (after 12 months from the date of its official publication, the date of publication is July 10, 2023). At a meeting on June 18, 2024 the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, in order to implement amendments No. 2 to the technical regulations of the Union for fat and oil products adopted in December last year (TR CU 024/2011) (amendments No. 2 were adopted by Council Decision No. 149 of December 12, 2023), amended the Lists of Standards for this technical regulation. The changes relate to two positions. Firstly, the List of standards for voluntary application includes the national standard of the Russian Federation – GOST R 70954-2023 "Non-moderated cocoa butter substitutes of mixed type. Technical conditions". This is due to the fact that amendments No. 2 in TR CU 024/2011 introduced new objects of technical regulation – "non-moderated cocoa butter substitutes of mixed type", which are used in the production of various types of food products and glazes for it. Secondly, the List of Standards for Methods includes four interstate standards and one research (testing) methodology оf the Russian Federation, containing alternative research (testing) and measurement methods for the new introduced safety indicator "glycidyl esters of fatty acids in terms of glycidol" in vegetable oils and fats. The changes will take effect on December 22 of this year. This date is interconnected with the date of entry into force of Amendments No. 2 to TR CU 024/2011 (after one year from the date of its official publication – December 22, 2023).
