I had a MacBook Pro 15 I7 since 2016 and even though it was 8 years old - it ran fine and still had an impressive design with an impressive screen. I knew I would eventually need to upgrade to the M version and was a bit reticent about whether I needed to go with the 15 inch MacBook Air or the 16 inch MacBook Pro. Finally went with a MacBook Pro M3 16 and I am extremely impressed at the whole quality, usability, power, battery life. It feels that this will be another 10 year laptop for me - able to power all my use-cases.

It works so well, fast and is lighter that the older versions, so is very easy to take it everywhere, the battery life last up to 2 days working straight nonstop (I am a graphic designer), the price is very reasonable and easy to use.

As a mostly PC user, the main reason I got this was for the battery life. And it does not dissapoint - I can go 5 - 6 days without having to charge but I am using it mainly for browsing, youtube, etc. Nothing power intensive for now...The build quality is still of the highest level. I like the compact feel, the slim size, the sturdiness (no flex on the screen), the magnetic snap charging cable, very quick to charge (about 2 hours to full charge from 10 - 15 %). This will not compete with high end PC gaming machines like Alienware X16, Razerblade 16, MSI, ASUS, etc. when it comes to gaming so not a very good choice for that. Also, this thing has the best speakers and sound quality I have ever heard on a laptop...

This laptop is all round a great laptop. Works as expected even faster. If you want overall protection get a skin, keyboard cover and a dust cloth to rest on keyboard that would help preserve the new feeling. But I don’t regret buying this

I had a MacBook Pro i7 16, and I decided to change for the M3, and in general I see great significant changes in performance and processing. The focus is more on software development, which is my job. Although I have seen many reviews, regarding its predecessors such as the M1 and M2 I would think that if you think about changing for this one, it is better to wait a bit since the change is not so big. But if you have a MacBook Pro with intel processors, I do recommend making the switch. At least in terms of development it is excellent, as long as you opt for this M3 version with 16 ram. I have been using it for 2 months now and everything is normal in relation to the battery, very demanding in performance. I could not say much for other areas such as design or video, but it is a great option.

Poor Quality Display

Two months after purchasing the computer, the screen turns black. I can see the ghosts of items in the back ground but unrecognizable images. I inspected the screen carefully and no physical damage or marks. It is still new. I took it to Apple Genius Bar. They said they will fix it in about one week. Three days later I receive a massage that the screen has cracks and asking me for almost 900$ bill before repairing it. I contacted them because we inspected the screen prior to leaving it. They claim it is “ internal Cracks” that might not show externally. It followed asking me to go back to the store because they can’t offer any further explanation about their statements.

This version is not the M3 Max version that I originally was going to purchase, but the M3 Pro with 32GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. I thought it might be too heavy as I have the 15" MacBook Air as well, but it is slightly heavier than my 15" Dell XPS laptop which this is replacing. Great screen, Mini LCD, which is close to the OLED on my Dell XPS 15.
