Amari Cooper is a football player who catches passes. He has played for three teams over nine seasons and caught 667 passes for 9,486 yards and 60 touchdowns. He’s been really good, making it to the Pro Bowl five times.

He’s now with the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns are aiming for the AFC North title and even a Super Bowl win after a solid 2023 season despite some quarterback issues. Cooper played in 15 games last year, catching 72 passes for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns. That’s about 17.4 yards per catch!

Looking ahead, Cooper could become a free agent in 2025.

In an interview with Betr, when asked if he had enough speed to beat someone in a race, Cooper said he wasn’t going to risk getting hurt because he’s “trying to get paid this year.” Smart move, right?

Browns’ GM Andrew Berry praised Cooper on NFL Network, saying, “What I will say about Amari is since he’s been a member of the Cleveland Browns, he’s obviously been a high-level, Pro Bowl-caliber receiver. But he’s also a great teammate and he’s a great professional. We’re happy to have him as a member of the organization.”

Berry also added that while business aspects need navigating, Cooper remains crucial to the team: “Sometimes all teams will have periods where they go through this type of situation, but it does not change our affinity for Amari.”

This offseason has seen big money contracts for wide receivers like Justin Jefferson and Jaylen Waddle. So it’s intriguing to see what happens next with Cooper and the Browns.

Who knows what’s next?
