Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions have given the team’s loyal fans something to root for during the 2023-24 NFL season. The Lions won the NFC North and advanced to the franchise’s second-ever NFC Championship appearance.
Goff has the Lions in position to punch the team’s ticket to its first-ever Super Bowl berth when they take on the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers.
Detroit has become America’s Team throughout the postseason, with 37 of the 50 states rooting for the Lions to go all the way. But while the Lions are the lovable underdogs, there is another reason to root for the team.
Move over, Taylor Swift. Enter Jared Goff’s fiancée, Christen Harper.
Goff and Harper began dating in 2019 after meeting on the dating app Raya when he was quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams. The two stayed together after his trade to Detroit and eventually got engaged in June 2022.
Harper has been by Goff’s side the entire way and shows up to every game to support the Lions’ leading man. As she says on Instagram, “It was always Detroit.”
The Lions face the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, January 28. Kickoff on FOX is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. With a win, they advance to Super Bowl 58, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens winner, which takes place earlier in the day.
Super Bowl 58 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
