BAY RIDGE — Chris McCreight, Councilmember Justin Brannan’s chief of staff, held a fundraiser Thursday evening at the Lock Yard pub, located at 9221 Fifth Avenue, promoting his campaign for a seat in the 46th Assembly District (encompassing Coney Island and Sea Gate, as well as parts of Bath Beach, Bay Ridge, Brighton Beach, Dyker Heights, and Gravesend).
McCreight is slated to lock horns with Alec Brook-Krasny — a Democrat turned Republican — who currently represents the district in this year’s general election.
McCreight has already been endorsed by a number of political power players, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Attorney General Letitia James, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and, of course, Brannan.
“I don’t tell people I’m going to change the world as an assemblymember, but when I see something is wrong, I’m going to fix it,” McCreight said.
