The Tourism Society is recruiting for a new Executive Director

The role
The Tourism Society is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the Tourism Society.

We are looking for an individual with drive and passion to work with the Society Secretariat and Board of Directors to develop and implement business strategy for the organisation.

We are a small organisation with big ideas. Currently we have approaching 1000 individual members and offer a high calibre of events throughout the year. It is essential that the successful candidate can motivate the team and drive growth in membership and event revenues.

The successful candidate will identify new opportunities to develop the Society and raise the profile of the organisation across the wider visitor economy.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing finance and budgets and motivating teams, be well-organised, self-starting and target-led, with excellent communication skills and a desire to achieve the growth planned for the Society. They must be comfortable working in a small, dynamic organisation.

Salary
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week, with evening and weekend work required as necessary. The salary is up to £40,000 per annum dependent on experience.
