ONS Proposed future approaches to measuring travel and tourism statistics closes 21 Dec 21

ONS are conducting a public survey seeking views on their proposed future approaches to measuring travel and tourism statistics which closes on 21 December 21. These proposals are designed to address weakness identified in the international passenger survey for which ONS are directly responsible for but may also have impact on other national surveys and domestic statistics produced by the National Tourist Boards.

It is an online consultation and we recommend, as ONS does, that you view and read both the “article and method papers” (links midway down the consultation page) which combined will give you a more detailed understanding of what ONS’s proposed future approaches are, why and how they may interact with other key statistics: Proposed future approach to measure travel and tourism statistics – Office for National Statistics – Citizen Space (ons.gov.uk)
