    Not That Bad...

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

This set is a double spinner pack, and it includes NRG Kai,and Chokun;both minifigs are currently exclusive to this set. This set had good parts, minifigs, and somewhat of a build.

    Minifigs

NRG Kai is completely red with a red head and hood.He has flames everywhere. He has a golden spear like the plain one in Snappa's spinner[not the golden one,but the other one],but it has two reversed points. He also has two other weapons, but the two I use in spinner matches are his katana and axe.Chokun has a golden Mace Ball ,a trans-orange snake, and a machete. There are also two other weapons.Just for the record, both are good fighters.

    Parts

Chokun's spinner is trans-green with boulder prints on the sides. Both crowns are new pieces.Kai's spinner is trans-orange with flames here and there.Chokun's shields are made out of rock, and NRG Kai's are flames on cone pieces, similar to Jay ZX's.Kai's blades are the same as Zane ZX's,and Chokun's are the same a Mezmo's and Lizaru's,but trans-orange.

    Cards

NRG Kai's character card has 500 fire SP and 400 lightning SP[900 SP Total],while Chokun's has 300 SP in all elements except lightning, which has 100 SP.

Spitfire Snake-500 fire SP[Crown Card]-Throw fire cars from discard pile during every spin.

Rings of Fire-200 fire SP-Make a figure-8 out of cards and spin in the empty areas inside, regain lost weapon if you spin longer without touching a card.

    Sensei's Whistle-400 lightning SP-This spin is a tie;both players spin again.

Strike Down-300 lightning SP[Metal Golden Card]-Win if both characters fall.

Elemental Strength-300 ice SP-Add 100 SP to all of your powers until a player wins.

Gateway Guardian-200 ice SP-Make a gate of cards;both players spin at the same time;regain lost weapon if you go through gate.

Lava Pudde-300 fire SP-Lay down card;opponent discards a face-up crown card if spinner touches it,then remove.

Circular Saw-400 earth SP[Crown Card]-Opponent discards a card every time you win.

Overall,I didn't think the set was that bad,and I recommend it to any Ninjago fan.

    The Battle Begins!!

Written by (TFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

9591 Battle Pack, or NRG Kai vs. Chokun, is unlike many of the other spinners sets (including the equally expensive starter packs): As well as including spinners (and crowns, with the new 2012 Ninjago Spinner line), this set also includes blades and shields. It also has some extra weapons, instead of the usual three-per-character.

    Pros

    • NRG Kai figure is exclusive to this set. Chokun only appears in one other set
    • Includes blades and shields for the spinners.
    • Extra weapons for more firepower (no pun intended).
    • Artwork on the character cards, especially NRG Kai's, is magnificant.

    Cons

    • Chokun has shorter legs, putting him at a disadvantage against NRG Kai.

Overall, this is a wonderful set, and a great addition to both my spinner and LEGO collections; I would recommend this to any fan of Ninjago!
