LEGO Star Wars - Rebel Trooper Battle Pack

Written by (AFOL , rhodium-rated reviewer) in Spain,

The Rebel Trooper Battle Pack set (8083) is a LEGO Star Wars set which came out in 2010. It comes with 4 minifigs and 79 pieces. This set does include no decals and there're no mistakes in the instructions and no missing pieces.

    Minifigures:

    • Zev Senesca: Zev Senesca comes with his basic rebel pilot uniform and has some new markings on his helmet. His face is the same as one of the clone pilots from the 2010 ARC-170 Starfighter set. He also comes with a double-printed torso and a blaster.
    • Hoth Officer: The Hoth officer comes with a new helmet with a white pair of goggles which you can put in two variations. He comes with a beard and a white backpack, and he also comes with a blaster pistol. The uniforms are the same which I've seen in the Echo Base set from 2009. He also comes with white pants.
    • Hoth Rebel Trooper (2x): Both rebels have the same helmet as the Hoth officer. They also have a white backpack and a blaster pistol. I don't know if the faces of the rebel troopers was new, but they got a very serious look. One of those minifigs has a longer blaster. Both have a new uniform which is tan.

    Speeder:

The speeder is very easy to build. The speeder is called "Ice Cutter" and is supposed to be in the film, but I never realised it. Anyway: It has two flick-missiles on each side and there's also a box which you can put into the ice cutter. There's also a turret which sviwels 360° and a seat for the figure. You can also find a place where you can see another blaster.

    Positive:

Great pieces which you can use for brickfilms or MOC's
    Nice starter set
    Price
    Minifigures
    Nice army builder
    No stickers

    Negative:

    Not so many play features

All in all, it's a great set to get, and I would highly recommend you to get this model. You can find this set on eBay and BrickLink for sure. Here is the link where you can check out the full gallery I made for this set on my website: www.klokriecher.de

    Hoth Zamboni=awesome!

Written by (TFOL , platinum-rated reviewer) in United States,

I got this set from my local supermarket a few years ago for the figures, and I actually got more than that from the set: a Hoth Zamboni!

    Pros

    • The Zamboni looks totally awesome, and even has some flick-fires.
    • All of the figures are pretty varies, the two troopers because of their different weapons.

    Cons

    • I honestly don't like the crate piece chosen for the Zamboni, as it looks quite odd.
    • A bit more of the white would be nice as well.

For a ten dollar set, this is awesome, and a great way to build up your Lego rebellion. I recommend this set, and keep the Zamboni!

One of the Best Small Sets I Own

Written by (TFOL) in United States,

The title says it all. This set is simple, yet awesome.

    • The Minifigures
The new Hoth troopers knock it out of the park. The new torso looks much better than the old version, and the headgear topples the original's with ease. The new pilot is well done, with a new and more detailed torso. The Officer is nothing special, although his face can only be found in this set and 7683. Altogether they would get a 10/10.

    • The Combat Speeder
The Combat Speeder is very, very good. This small vehicle has a compact build and great playability. The rotating turret is nice and the flick fire missiles work well. It also looks cool, Which doesn't always hold true with other small Star Wars sets. This little speeder makes a very good addition to any Battle for Hoth collection. Altogether It would get a 10/10.

All and all this set would get a 20/20, of 5 stars and, yes, I would recommend this set to a friend.

Built this with my 4yr old son, loves it.

Written by (AFOL) in United Kingdom,

    As the title says.

This is my first Lego set for a long time.

Was a really quick and easy build, but the minifigures are really fun.

Not quite sure what the little removable box is there for, but the rotating turret is really nice.
