    Expensive Baby Dino

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

This 4+ set brings us some baby Dinosaurs

    Dino and Minifigure

This Dino Daycare comes with 4 young Dinosaurs, a grown Pteranodon and two minifigures. Aside from the Pteranodon, all of these are almost exclusive, if you exclude the two velocirapters being in magazine bags. (122402 & 122403)

Aside from one, the baby Dinos are very cute looking. The Triceratops having a jumper adds a bit of playability for the baby Velocirapter to jump between it and the other two Dinos. Though I like all the Dino in this set, the baby Velocirapter honestly just looks strange, mainly because of the silver. I think dark blue would've been better than silver.

The Pteranodon isn't new as it was in a previous set two years prior, in 76943 Pteranodon Chase. I don't own the previous set, but it's nice to have another chance to get this one, the sand and dark blue work very nicely on it. Though I wish that if they were reusing a Pteranodon, it would be from a larger set.

For the two minifigure of the sets are Darius and Sammy. They seem to be from the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Aside from Sammy's hair, they are pretty accurate to the show. The dirt and Darius without his jacket are what make these exclusive. As the clean clothes are in set from 2021.

    The Set

Given the set is a "4+", it has 3 instructions for the 3 builds. These are the Off-road Jeep, food storage and a research facility around some rocks. All these are very nice and simple builds, as expected of these kinds of sets. The Jeep even has some jumpers for Velocirapter play.

There are even some uncommon colour and print, such as the Dino's egg and the rock mountain in light bluish grey.

Strange, there isn't any meat in the set for the Velocirapter aside from the fish, unless that bottle is a meat smoothie.

    Overall

It's $40... Understandable though, as we are getting big pieces and 5 different Dinos, but this is why I wish the Pteranodon was one from a larger set, so the price could be more forgiving. It's best to at least try to wait for a discount on this set if you can. But if you really want some baby Dino, I recommend it.
