    It's ok

First, I want to say that I only got this because I happened to find it on clearance for 50% off ($40 instead of $80). With the price I got it at, I'd put "Value for money" closer to a 4, but most people will be thinking full price, and in that respect it's very weak. I understand the price being bigger because of the moulds for the Brachiosaurus, but even then it felt like it was $5-10 too expensive with the parts and builds it had.

For me, the main thing that makes me think there's not much value for money is not the parts, but the lack of playability. If you're a huge fan of Jurassic Park, then it works well for display, but there aren't any real play features for kids. It advertises being able to recreate Grant feeding the Brachiosaurus at the top of the tree, and Grant and Sattler's reaction to seeing the Brachiosaurus for the first time, but for those that haven't seen the film, there isn't anything to draw them. I'm not suggesting hidden trapdoors or flick fire missiles like the LOTR Weathertop set, but something like making a branch fall, or a hidden compartment somewhere in the tree. Especially when the price is $80 and packaged to look like a standard kids set with only 500 pieces rather than a diorama display piece, you really need something to convince people it might be a set worth getting.

The build for the Jeep was pretty great, but the build for the tree is ok. Building experience for the tree was annoying towards the end because it was a chore putting the rods into the leaves, but the Jeep was fun to build.
