A popular starfighter in the Clone Wars TV series, this is a pretty solid starfighter. It's fast, it's sleek, and it's something I would want to fly.

Box/Instructions:

A square box, so not too much to say. Anakin must really be winning this battle. The instructions are pretty much like any other. Darth Vader's still creepin' in the corner.

The Pieces:

Pretty much any pieces you would find in a Jedi starfighter. The cockpit piece is unique, and so are the Technic pieces, which are obviously used for the R2-D2 ejection mechanism. The flick-missiles are obviously new to the Star Wars line at this point, even though they are super popular now. Also unique is the flag piece and the 2x2 cylinder tile with the Republic logo printed onto it.

The Stickers:

The set includes six stickers: Two on the nose, two on the flag piece, and two tiny Republic symbols on the slopes by the flag. The starfighter really comes to life with these.

The Minifigures:

The two expected minifigures of the set are two good ones...at least at the time. Anakin Skywalker, Clone Wars style is pretty good. The older R2-D2 is also included, but they've improved on his design since then.

The Jedi Starfighter:

I really like this ship. It's fast, it's sleek, and it just looks cool. The ejection mechanism is built pretty much towards the beginning-middle of the build. To be completely honest, it's pretty weak. He doesn't go out into space very far. It only works effectively if you push the little blue button at the back just right. Moving into the build, you put together the cockpit and the functioning landing gear. Considering the landing gear is only made from two pieces each, it's hidden quite well when folded up. The wings are well detailed with really cool patterns by use of the yellow pieces. Completing the look is the yellow flag at the back, which must be some kind of stabilizing fin.

The Final Verdict:

Pieces - 10/10 - A great use for wing pieces, and the unique ones look good.

Stickers - 10/10 - Great stickers, and give the ship a good look.

Minifigures - 8/10 - R2 sucks.

Jedi Starfighter - 10/10 - The design rocks, it's sleek...it's just awesome.

Final Result - 9.5/10. It's a fantastic ship that's fun to fly around.

Anakins starfighter is pretty good.

I will give it a 5 out of 5 because you can build it with no problem, it is easy to play with, you can let it land by putting the landing gear down you can also shoot R2D2 out of his cockpit.

The only con is that you can not put his lightsaber anywhere and you have to be carefull when you put the flag on.

This is an outstanding set. It comes with minifigs Anakin (clone wars) and R2-D2. Anakin's fighter is awesome. It comes with cool stickers, missles on the bottom, and a place where you could fit R2's entire body! You are not able to Anakin in the cockpit with his lightsaber, and the yellow square at the back of the ship is kind of hard to put in. Other than that, it's 5/5!

I like this Starfighter the best, you get 2 flick-fire missiles, a little R2-D2 flinger and three legs for landing. What is that big flappy thing on the back? Sadly, there is nowhere to put Anakin's old, boring, grey, non-chrome Lightsaber...

This is a really great set. I love the yellow colour scheme and starfighter is nice and solid. You get 2 minifigs R2-D2 and Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2 is the same the other R2-D2s in prevous sets but the Anakin is brand new and is based off The Clone Wars TV Series, so the minifig gets an cartoony look. Unlike other people I actually like the minifig's face, saying that I would have preferred a regual looking face. Its sad to see the classic chome lightsaber is gone, the plain grey ones are pretty boring. The new flick-fire missiles are a awesome inprovement over the other ones released back in 2006 and 2007 sets. The mechanism that pops R2-D2 is pretty pointless and dosn't always work. The set also includes stickers but they don't overlap lego pieces. The starfighter also has 3 legs to stand it which are very sturdy. Its look exactly like way it appears in show and it goes great with other Clone Wars sets. Overall I really like the set and should be added to your Star Wars collection. 9/10!!
