This review will be about Lego Set 76420 Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake. The two structures included in this set look surprisingly excellent for this small of a build. The overall build is quite simple though it looks to be a pretty good basis for more Architecture.

The molded rock piece in this set comes in an Earth blue color, a color I don’t believe we’ve seen that often. I’m not exactly sure what you could do with it. Nevertheless, it is always good to have pieces in more colors. If anyone were to be making an underwater MOC or sea MOC, this set includes some useful pieces and also can give builders useful ideas.

The play features of this set are also quite fun. Knocking the participants into the water works really well, and I like how the clock turns. Re-enacting the scene this set represent is a little more complicated than other sets though that is expected.

The number of mini figures in this set is quite high considering the price. I think all the mini figures in this set have some exclusivity. Though, I must say that the Hermione and Ron figures are little boring but that cannot be helped. The Viktor Krum shark figure is also very favorable as he looks like an actual mini figure shark. I think the merperson is definitely the highlight of the set. There is no other set that the merperson has or really could appear in. Overall, this set has a very favorable number of mini figures. This set should really have maybe two more mini figures to be completely accurate though I feel like seven would be “too many” for $44.99. (I’m not opposed to that, I just don’t see that happening today)

In the end, I quite enjoyed this set. It looks nice and also has a good minifigure selection.
