    Surprisingly good

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

I didn't think I was going to buy this set but it went on sale for $24 (and I had a gift card) so I picked it up and I'll admit I like it more than I expected.

    Pros

    - Great colors, more accurate than the Civil War airport battle larger minifig-shaped one.

    - More adjustable and playable, again because of the articulation- including waist articulation.

    - Looks great from all sides. The hands are very well designed to not look too exposed from any one angle.

    - Quantumania has a set, if only one!

    - Nanofig Wasp, plus an extra! This is great for adding to setups and collections from previous movies that didn't come with a small Wasp, or any at all. I have small dioramas with all the main characters from each movie and show, including customs that were never released, and this covers having a small Wasp in both this and Ant-Man 2. I'd honestly consider getting another one of these sets on discount to scrap for parts and get two more Wasps, one for Endgame and paint the other like Cassie.

    Cons

    - No full sized figs. It should have at least included a Cassie purple-suit, ideally Kang and/or Janet, Hank, etc. Not having a Cassie fig is the biggest disappointment, especially since she wasn't included in the most recent MCU CMF lineup.

    - Some small mods recommended with easy replacement parts: the feet are too big, the fingers are too small and close together, and that doesn't change the overall aesthetic.

    - The head is a separate problem. The printed round plate is already annoying but the clunky head hangs too low and leans around a little unnaturally. Most bothersome is the round plate in the very front, designed to fold back over the mask but leaving a very noticeable gap just barely too small to fit another plate in. I plan on completely redesigning the head asap for function but looking straight at it, it's not bad.

    - The slopes on the head should have been flat silver to match the mask. That combination of element & colors already should exist from the Mixels line and more, so a bit more silver instead of gray for consistency would have been nice.

Fun build, decent parts, great idea for a playable set.
