1999 Vulture Droid
This set is amazing value for the price, even today, and the current price. This set does a really good job at depicting the fighter. the only problem I found was that the wings were bulky and would stand up in land mode.Overall, I think it is a good set, and suggest picking it up if you're a fan of the prequels.

Droid fighter- an unlikely hero
Despite the fact that this is extremely cheap and affordable set, it remains one of the best star wars sets from '99. It is a simple build which can be assembled in a matter of minutes with only 62 pieces and 0 figures.
In terms of playability, it has a very light, swoosh-able build and can easily change between flight and walking modes. This is done by simply clicking the hinges down and moving the legs. There is very little in the way of detail and the design begins to look dated almost 19 years later, however this is excusable , given the vast changes within the lego group over the last 20 years.
Luckily it is very easy to still get hold of one of these sometimes under £10 with a box and under £5 without.

Perfect fighter to KILL Yar-Yar!
I have swapped the assassin droid battle pack for this and Anakin's jedi starfighter. This is the only Self-Propelled Variable Geometry Droid Fighter, or as Vulture-class droid starfighter for short, sold alone. It can stand, and then take off into the skies. By the brown colour, it looks like to be in the service of the Trade Fedearation. The ship itself is big and blocky.
- Pros: It can stand up
- Printed pieces (Thanks, God!)
- Rare colour and pieces
- Great swooshability (It means you can fly it perfecly through your living room)
- Lots of pros :)
- Cons:No minifigure (A Battle Droid wouldn't hurt)
- Blocky
- Pieces, that won't last long (like those hinge bricks)
- It bends a little forward when it stands
Overall, it is a cool set, just buy at least three to build a squad.2 out of 3 people thought this review was helpful.
Send Out The Fighters
this set is good ,even though not as good as its 2007 version it goes well with the old anakins yellow spaceship(which i would also have if my cousin hadnt lost most of the pieces ,i have the instructions though)provides a good building experience for younger builders and good playability with the anakins yellow spaceship thingy.it can transform into a walking mode by turning the guns down and moving the head.it is a good addition to anyones droid army and is fun to use against the clones or naboo people.its value for money is good for me because i got it for free from my cousin but i think (at a guess)its original price was £6.99 so that would have been worth it with the piece to price ratio.i would completely recommend this set to anyone so if you see it cheap buy it.

Starwars Droid Fighter
The droid fighter can stand You can make it fly. It makes a great fight if you buy 20 of these and you can have you own droid army.
If you buy droid battle packs the clones don't stand a chance.
