Really an awesome pirate's ship, and, as i wrote on the title, it's like all the pirate's ship should be (and how them were in reality): compact, with no extra firepower, higly manoeuvrabile and really well armed. During the golden age of Pirates, the seas were full of this little ship (usually called "sloop") with just few cannons, a lot of men to drive and board the ship, more helpfull during a battle to pillage bigger (and slower) cargo ship.

Parts

The set it's small compared by all the other pirate's ship, but full of details: a compass, mounted guns, the rotating-cannon...even the little red dragon's sign on the top of the ship

Minifigures

An exceptionally full of minifig's ship compared to the size, with 4 in the crew (a captain, a first mate and 2 sailors) where others ship (much bigger) has just few more (8 in the black seas barracuda that is twice/third bigger). All of them armed to teeth with cutlass and flintlock.

The build

It was a joy when, escaped from my dark age, I restart to build this nice ship (and had to buy few missing parts on bricklink). Not so complicated to build and it will take just 1 and half.

Overall opinion

A must for any pirate's fan, and even compared to the other ship of my collection, it's still very nice and proud.

The first and only boat i have in my pirate armada this is a pretty good set to have. It has a 4 minifigs, one captain, one first mate, and two pirates, a canon with round motion for firing in all directions, a good sturdy sail, a compass and many more. This isn't the biggest ship in pirates armada, but it compensates that by being armed to the teeth. It's small in size, or rather compact, but everything seems to be put into place so well on this boat which increases it's playability greatly. Lots of small, neat details are great too and are installed nicely on the boat's exterior. For it's price i say its a good buy for any pirate theme fan, like myself.

It could be better, but not by much. It has everything a small ship needs except a steering wheel. If I were you, I would get 2 of these and 2 Cross Bone Clipper so you can mix 1 of each and keep the other 2 the same.

This is a very cool but small ship. I like the sails in this set and looks great on the ship. There are alot of minifigures in this set which is good for play. There is only one cannon on this ship but it does turn. This set is way better than most would think.

Ahhh the memories. As you all know i have alot of pirate lego. And it is essential that you can have a main ship to bust in once in a while. Its quite large but still relatively cheap to buy.
