    A great display piece

Written by (TFOL) in United States,

A good, solid robot. I got this for my birthday and was not disappointed . As far as I know, it is the biggest mech or robot to date. (I define mech and robot as two legged, just to clarify)

    Box/Instructions

Just your normal stuff, nothing special.

    Parts

A lot of similar parts, but nothing really out of the ordinary today. Has some unique parts in sand blue and orange, so if you need parts in those colors, this set could be for you.

    Minifigures

    None.

    The build

I only built the main model, cause once it was built, it looked so cool I couldn't destroy it. Simple techniques used to good effect, some snot. Took me maybe 2 hours.

    The completed model

This is where it really shines. The final model looks powerful and imposing, just as a robot should. It is a little flimsy around the waist, so if you want to play with it I suggest you build one of the other two models. This giant looks great towering over a car or minifig, or just standing around. I highly recommend it to robot fans and people who just want to display it, as it is a impressive model.

    Overall opinion

I like this set, in case you couldn't tell. My only problems with it are a flimsy waist and the fact that the head is a little small, but it doesn't bother me much. I think this designers really hit the jackpot with this set, and I wish they would do more like this in the future. Preferably even bigger than this one.

Titan XP is a great set

    Written by (KFOL) in Canada,

I loved this set when I got it. It was amazing in my 5 yr. old mind, and unfortunately, I didn't build the actual robot because of lack of experience. The intermediate build is great, and it has great playability. Overall, it's a great set and I would get another one if I could.

Great set, I was playing almost forever.

    Written by (Unspecified) in Netherlands,

This was my third Designer set I got, and from the very first sight of it I was just wanting it, so I got my mom to buy it. I played, well, 2 years almost with only this one set, and it never got boring. There are enough parts, and anough moving parts, as I'm a large fan of that (I also own the Robobots and Wild Collection Designer Sets, also for the moving parts xD).

Just to mention, I sold the set once when I needed money, but I have now rebought it (3 years later) as I remembered how much fun it was. I think Lego isn't bound to a particular age, I played alot between my 9th and 14th year, but now I'm 18 and it's still fun to do it sometimes. The creativity is enormous, and with me being fan of scifi and mechanics, this is one of the greatest sets I've ever had.

This one is big, and he still has a jet-pack and wings? Still Awesome!

Written by (TFOL , gold-rated reviewer) in Italy,

I got this set long ago. It is hard to build. Once I took it apart, then I got angry at myself!

For 5 or so years, I actually didn't like this set, it was so unstable. That was until I discovered I had made the feet to long. Now it is great, and free-standing!

    Pros

    • Awesome bricks!
    • Rare colours, such as Orange and light-bluish-grey.
    • Chrome-silver plates!
    • Big wing plates!
    • Main model has jet-pack!
    • Thousands of poses!
    • Hard to build!
    • Lots of ideas!
    • Torso can swivel about!

    Cons

    • Sometimes falls over.
    • Yes, heavy model.
    • The legs can sometimes get caught and stuck in the 4 oscillating plates around this Titan's waist.
    • If you don't follow the instructions carefully, this one might have problems.

    Overall:

I will just briefly describe the B and C models. The C model is just two robots. One has a head like a leopard, the other one I have forgotten. The B model is one great walking pod. His legs are opened toward the side, and technically, when he swings open his legs horizontally, he should be able to fly. I love how the designers have fitted the 'wings' to make a hull in the B model. When i rebuild this set, I might post some photos. (You will have to wait a lot!) There are many other ideas in this book, but don't try to build them. They are big, and too hard to copy!

I will try to keep this part short. This is a very good set. If you are a Lego fan who likes to build and display, this is the right set for you. Challenging building and lots of colours. Even if you are a Lego fan which likes to play with it, you might still find this set interesting. Just take care when playing with it, and look carefully when building the feet.

Overall, get this set. Your happiness will depend on how you play with Lego sets. people who like to display stuff might find more use than people who like to play.

Great set glad i bought it.

Written by (Unspecified) in United Kingdom,

Having only just back in to lego and found this site i wasn't sure what sets were out there to buy first. I looked here and found some set i owned in the past and then looked at the ebay section and I'm glad i found this set on ebay and bought it for 4.99.

It came quickly and i decided to sit down and build it last night, which took two sittings and about 3hours (or so) had to stop and strecth legs a few times.

The main robot is amazing and is huge. The only concern is the fact that it's a little top heavy and looks like it may fall over at any min. Not sure if that's due to my parts being used before ir just a design flaw.

The only other thing i find with the instructions were the colour scheme sometimes i wish the balcks, greys and blues were better colured as i found it difficult to match some of the brincks the foot guards inperticullar, might just be me though.

Anyway thats it really i would reccomned this set to everyone.
