    1st Lego set

Written by (AFOL) in United States,

This is my fisrt Lego set I ever received. My older brother (now deceased) bought it for

my 5th birthday. I'm now 38 and still addicted to Lego.

    Thanks Gill!

    My 1st Set Too!

Written by (AFOL) in United Kingdom,

I've just seen Gill's review and it made me smile, because this was my first set too. I'd had generic boxes of Lego bricks before, but this was my first actual model. It never survived that long and was cannibalised for parts, the rotor pieces especially found their way into numerous Airwolf clones.

When I raided my parents' house to retrieve my childhood Lego a year or so back (with the sole intent of rebuilding the Yellow Castle and the original Galaxy Explorer), I also ended up building this (and the knights Joust, Catapult, a couple of medieval carts, mobile rocket launcher... I got a bit carried away...)

So while this isn't the flashiest or most noteworthy set, it's earned its place on my display shelf for the sheer nostalgia value.
