• It still works!

As all set of the legoland series the set is to today´s standards basic. But very nice. The part of the house with the windows is simply there to guide bricks from the belt into the tipper truck. Basic but is works.
The tipper truck of course has a cabin that is slightly different from other cabins from that time. This time the top of the cabin has two 2x2 tiles for a roof.
The depot has space for two tipper trucks. So other trucks can join in the work or can be parked.
The belt, well, after almost fourty years it still works. It´s not broken. It can be taken apart and can bet assembled again without problems. It still works as it did almost fourty years ago. And it has been played with for many years, and it is played with now again. My youngest son of 4 does need some instructions to make it work properly, but is definitely one of his favorites.
    So, 5 out of 5.

    first set

Written by (Unspecified , bronze-rated reviewer) in Canada,

This lego set was my very first set.I got it for my sixth birthday in 1972.

Till that day I did not know what lego was.I loved it and got a lots of sets after this one.

The conveyer is long gone and the baseplate is starting to fall apart now to,but yes it is 38 years old.

I played a lot with lego for the next 10 years. Now our own kids play with it but not as much as I did.
