My main reason for simply getting this was the recolour of the Crescent blade piece in orange (which you get two), along with having a bit of nostalgia for those old Racers Tiny Turbos sets.

It's a very finely made set, being a simple looking version of the McLaren Formula 1.It uses some new and many useful pieces to build the car, such as the already mention Crescent blade (and who knows when we're ever going to see that piece in such a colour again) and the Modified 1 x 2 Wedge tile (left & right).

The set does have a sticker sheet that comes in a small box to protect it. Those 4 stickers do have a good amount of detail and colour to the set.

This is nitpicking and while the colour on it is good, I just don't like the heavy amount of black the set has. There are version of it where the orange and azure pop out more, like the bigger technic version of it (42141) having a lot more orange in it.

It's a excellent polybag set, good for fans of this car, but can't afford the bigger versions, along with being good for non-fans of it as well.

What a superb polybag set this is. I got it for £3.49 which is a bargain.

The built model is instantly recognisable as the McLaren F1 car, the colours are perfect, and it has so many accurate details including the wings and side pods. It's hard to get these details just right with such a small build, but this is perfect. I love when a small build captures things so well.

If you are a McLaren fan you could combine this with sets 42141 and 76919 to get a trio of McLarens in 3 different sizes.
