Set #30408 Tulips: Previously LEGO Friends gave us the Friendship Flower, which was a highly impressive model and a very parts heavy polybag release. Now the designers have crafted a pair of beautiful looking tulips which a flower pot that sits very nicely. If you love building models of plants this one is definitely for you, and here’s why.

Pros:

• Very nicely designed model. Loaded with great ideas and awesome techniques.
• Bee model included to place on the one Tulip.
• Flower Pot looks great, makes an excellent companion to the Friendship Flower Polybag.
• Excellent part-per-piece ratio.

Cons:

• Tulip models do not attach to the flower pot, but sit loosely capturing how real picked flowers would be placed in a flower pot, but hinders the model when picked up to move.
• Slightly harder to find at retail.

Overall opinion

I just love the creativity and engineering put into this set. I mostly collect for Minifigures or mini-dolls, but when it comes to Polybags I love seeing just how far LEGO building can go. This model, or rather series of models, stands out as a very nicely designed set. It includes a load of elements and everything just looks great as a display piece.

Younger builders might prefer building something to interact with their Mini-Dolls. To that I say, why not take this and turn it into a parade float for the citizens of Heartlake City to enjoy. A nice flower festival. Do not ignore this Polybag just because it doesn’t include mini-dolls, it’s a very solid set and I strongly recommend getting one or more for some nice decorative display models.

So overall, this is good. It has a great price per piece and a fun build experience! I would recommend to all who have 3.99 and like friends.
