    Vine-swinger!

Kongu, Matau's right hand! Leaf-runner! Way-finder! Gukko force commander! He was my second matoran and one of the best six promo from McDonalds, as Lego gave them the parts. His disk always hits it's mark for the priciple of Le-Koro is Accuracy! When I got him, as ussual, build is grand but the complete model is awesome! I remeber playing with him for a while with my other Bionicles for a long time. The disk function is nice.

He is Like a Little Lewa

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

Swinging from the branches of Le-Koro, the acrobatic Matoran Kongu spot a villainous Nui Rama flying above his head. He grabs his Miru imprinted bamboo disk and aims. With precision and accuracy, the disk finds its unsuspecting prey. Kongu was my second matoran of 2001, but still one of my favorites. He is in this small state because he was forced in a matoran sphere, and forgot all about Metru Nui; or at least in the story line. Kongu and the other matoran of 2001 were basicaly the best McDonalds toy ever as it was a real Bionicle set. the set comes with a blueish-green Kanohi Miru, lime green body and arms, feet that are the same blueish-green color, and a disk with a picture of the mask of levitation on it. Kongu by himself is lots of fun, but I like to own the complete set of all six matoran. Kongu kan also combine with Matoro and Macku to make a Matoran Kaita that looks like a miniature Wairuha, or combine with all six to make a Matoran Nui. and if that was not enough, in the packet was a mini comic called "The Challenge of the Rahi" and it shows the matoran nui!

  • So Much Fun

    Written by (Unspecified) in Australia,

I remember when I was about 6 or 7 and I went to macca's with my dad and the only reason I went were for the Toys! This was a fun set that kept me going for hours, just flinging that disc!

    Pros:
    Easy to Build
    Fun to play with

    Cons:
Can lose the discs quite easily

  • my favorite bionicle character!

Written by (Unspecified) in United States,

My favorite Bionicle series was the first Mata Nui line, and Kongu was my favorite character. He is really rare in Matoran form, and you could only get him from McDonalds. I got him, but my cousin broke it and I had to buy another one off eBay. The early Bionicles were the best because the whole point was to collect them.

Accidentally got a broken arm Kongu

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

I have got the collection of all six Mctoran for my display. I used to only have Nuparu, who wasn't from a McDonald's Toy, but from the Boxor set.

Kongu along with 5 others were part of McDonald's Toys, with all of them using the same pieces but with different colours, masks and disks. With a very simple build of only 8 pieces. Or in my case, 7 pieces and a broken arm, because I didn't pay attention to that when buying it and had to buy a new arm.

Seem with Kongu's colour scheme was based on RoboRider's Swamp, using dark turquoise over the Toa and Turaga counterpart of green. It can also be seen as a fitting colour choice as Le-Wahi does have a swamp.

Movement is limited as expected for being apart of a McDonald's toy. Limbs can only turn from left to right, and the head has no movement whatsoever. It does have the play feature of throwing the disk with his right arm (not the broken one I have, that would've torn off) because of its flexibility.

The disk itself does have a print of Lewa's mask, and when it's not in use, can be placed on the Matoran's back.

Overall, be sure to look closely if it does or doesn't have a broken limb, especially with how much they cost nowadays. But aside from that, if you're a big BIONICLE fan, this is recommended for collectors, and to get all 6 of them.
