    Simple but fun

Written by (AFOL) in United States,

I build Mindstorms NXT robots as my hobby, and these little "posable" robot models are compelling to me. I decided to build Asimo from stock I had on hand. I found build instructions elsewhere, and found the inventory here.

It took me about a half-hour to build the model, once I had figured out what color to make it.

Few of us have consistent "white" elements. I don't, anyway. Some are chalky white, others are almost beige, and yet others are very light grey. So, instead of trying for white, I decided to build a blue Asimo, with some metallic grey chest-parts.

    It turned out really nice.

The inventory here says the count is off by 4. I figured out what 3 of the four are. If you look at Asimo's head, he has four of the same element - 2 black, 2 white. The inventory shows only two of those elements instead of four. The other one I figured out is missing from the inventory is Asimo's "backpack". I was able to construct something similar to it using a number of other elements. I'm unsure what the fourth element is which is missing from the inventory.
