    Nifty Little Battle Pack

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Building Experience:

As is the case with most sets, there is nothing too special about the building experience. It is a pretty simple build that any level of builder could accomplish with the instructions. The two builds are both nice and sturdy, so that helps while building.

    Parts:

Besides the minifigure parts there aren't any special unique or rare pieces. Each minifigure comes with a stud shooter gun that shoots one clear red stud. The speeder also consists of two stud shooters but that attach to the front of it.The rubble build is built mostly out of slope pieces which are always nice to have a collection of. There are extra studs for the shooters, one extra stud per shooter. There are also a few extra helmet accessories.

    Minifigs:

    - Grey Mandalorian: The Grey Mandalorian is build with six pieces. The helmet features magnificent printing with a grey, orange, and black color scheme. There is a bullet dent on the top and some sort of liquid stain on the front. The helmet design continues to the back, but there is no printing. The head underneath is a basic black head, as is the same with all the other minifigures. The black cape is unique to the set and is more rectangular than a usual cape. The torso features beskar Mandalorian armour printing along with more detailed clothes printing underneath. The printing underneath consists of a belt, which continues to the back along with the rest of the detail. There is no arm printing. The feet are also printed and are a sand blue tone. The printing on the legs is of some kind of robe and does not continue onto the back.

    - Green Mandalorian: The Green Mandalorian is also built with six pieces and is the exact same minifigure just with different colors and printing. The helmet is green with a bullet dent on the other side than the grey one, and also features some liquid marks around the face area. An antenna is attached to the helmet. The cape is the same rectangular cape as all the rest but in brown. None of the minifigures feature any arm printing but the detail on this ones torso is fantastic. It shows beskar armour and a belt that both continue onto the back and a robe that continues to be printed on the legs.

    - Brown Mandalorian: The Brown Mandalorian is the least interesting of the four. The helmet has an interesting design and is in a lighter brown color. The cape is the same brown one as with the Green Mandalorian. The detail on the torso is the same as the Blue Mandalorian only with the exception that the battle marks on the armour are in different places. The legs are plain dark brown and do not have any printing on them which is disappointing, especially given that the other three do. This one also does not have an antenna.

    - Blue Mandalorian: The Blue Mandalorian is more exciting than the brown one. The helmet has a more unique design to it than the other ones, featuring purple splotches on the head. The cape is another rectangular one but this time in a greenish shade. The torso printing is the same as the brown one except for the color differences and the battle marks on the armour. The feet have magnificent silver and blue armour printing. There is no antenna for this one either.

    The Build:

    - Speeder: The speeder is a fairly simple build, but it gets the job done. It has two stud shooters, one on each side, and can fit one minifigure. It's not the most aerodynamic looking vehicle but still works as a speeder.

    - Rubble: The rubble is made mostly out of slope pieces. There is a spot for a minifigure to place their stud shooter and hide in the rubble. It also works great for a place to put the stud shooter of the minifigure riding the speeder. It is a simple build but works for a battle pack.

    Overall:

Overall, the original price of £12.99 / $14.99 / 14.99€ is reasonable given the four excellent minifigures and two decent builds. The Brown Mandalorian could have used some leg printing but other than that this set is perfect. I would highly recommend this set to any Star Wars fan, especially if they want a Mandalorian army.

    Islander Guy

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Parts:

Including the bone which goes on the minifigures hair there are three pieces. The first of which is the basic black 3x4 CMF stand. Second is the spear which is a basic reddish brown spear. The last piece is the bone. It is a basic bone but even then, it looks great.

    Minifigure:

Being a CMF the minifigure is the whole set. To begin with, the hair piece is the same that was used in the classic Islanders theme, but it still looks great here. It is a black hair piece that includes a clip sticking up from the top to give the effect of the bone being tied into the hair. The head features a smiley expression which is covered with magnificent blue markings. The next piece, the mask, is the main standout piece of the minifig. The detail is splendid and is very colorful featuring four different colors, red, green, brown, and a tannish white. The face created with the mask and the giant eyes are amazing completing the tribal feel of the minifig. Next is the torso, which features a highly detailed front but a plain, unprinted, back. The torso's printing shows the same blue markings as on the face as well as a tribal necklace and sash that goes over the red waistband which is the main detail that should've been continued onto the back. The feet have a green grass skirt that is printed around the side of the legs but does not continue to the back.

    Playability:

Playability is really endless with this minifig. He includes a weapon, so he can fight off any wild beasts, or he could just go on some magnificent journey. Who knows it's up to you!

    Value for Money:

The original cost of the minifigure was £1.99 / $2.99 which is well worth the quality of the minifig and the playability.

    Overall:

Overall this is an excellent CMF with great value for money, and great playability. The only complaint would be to include back printing. Other than the lack of back printing this is an amazing minifig.

I'm just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

    Building Experience:

There isn't much to say about the building experience for this set other than how most of the set is symmetrical. The last step is very annoying though, it is the step that connects all the chain pieces together. Connecting 60 of the same small piece isn't that fun to keep doing over and over again. Other than repetitiveness the building experience is just about the same as any other set.

    Parts:

There are only a few pieces that stick out against the rest. There are two big radar dish pieces that form the sides of the tank which are only in this set. There are a bunch of antennas/visors which is usually the case even in sets like this where only one is actually used. There are some gear pieces to make the chain move, but other than that most of the pieces aren't anything special. This set includes 271 pieces.

    Minifigs:

    - Jango Fett: Jango Fett is the main focus point among the set. He has access points on both sides of his helmet for an antenna/visor. His helmet is designed to look just like the Mandalorian helmets do on screen. It is silver with blue and black printing to finish off the look. This helmet piece looks much better than the previous one which connected the helmet and the jetpack in one. His head is similar to his actor but it doesn't fully look like him. His head shows scars that the bounty hunter has acquired, it also shows a stubble beard over his smug bounty hunter face. The detail on Jango's torso looks exactly how it should. The precise detail continues to his feet. He holds two guns just like in the movie. The guns look accurate but it would have been nice if they could have used a piece that didn't have a hole in them.

    - Clone Trooper: The Clone Trooper looks just like in the movie. The helmet also includes access points to a visor/antenna though he does not include one. The helmet looks superb and the printing finishes off the Clone look. The head underneath is the basic Clone Trooper head. The body shows great detail and looks just like the Clone Troopers do. The feet don't have any printing on them, but they have a black waist and white legs. The Clone's gun is made of two pieces, a long gun element and a technic pin. They look great together resembling a heavy-duty gun.

    - Battle Droid: The Battle Droid from the battle of Geonosis looks great. It uses the basic Battle Droid head, body, arms, and feet. The only thing that is different is the color. It has been changed to match how the Droids look during the battle of Geonosis. This Droid carries a regular blaster piece.

    Build:

The build in this set is a Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, just like the name of the set. It looks pretty close to how it appears on screen. It has few points of movement. The chain in the middle moves what ever way that it is pushed, and the lights on the top move up and down. The two legs can move up and down as well. The cannons are suck in one position which makes sense, but they do include a flick fire missile on each side for play purposes.

    Overall:

Overall this set is pretty accurate and shows great value at an original price of £19.99/$19.99, while including 271 pieces. It is a great army builder if you don't mind having a bunch of Jango Fett. In the end this is a must-have for any Star Wars fan!

    Picture Perfect

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

Parts: There are five parts to this set that aren't the minifigure. First of which is the basic black minifigure stand. Second is a dark brown wand which looks great and resembles the on screen appearance. Third is the dark orange pot. It has two little bumps on the side near the top that allow for a handle piece to be added but one is not included here. The fourth piece is the Mandrake. Its printed face has exceptional detail and looks as if it is screaming. This is my favourite version of Mandrake that have been made. The final piece is the plant piece. It works great on top of the Mandrake and allows Neville to hold it with ease.

Minifigure: Neville appears in many different outfits throughout the Harry Potter series but this one is one of the more memorable ones. His coat looks just like it did in the movie and it also shows his Gryffindor tie sticking out of the top. His feet are the new medium height feet which allow a minifigure to be smaller than average but still be able to move. His head is double-sided showing the concerned look that Neville usually has and a fainted face for when he faints. He has a duel module hair piece including earmuffs on his shaggy hair. It looks just as it does in the movie.

Playability: Neville can move like a normal minifigure thanks to the medium feet. The Mandrake can be pulled in and out of the pot easily but it is loose in the pot which makes it fall out easily. Other than the fact that the Mandrake is loose, Neville and the Mandrake are ready for play!

Value for Money: Having 9 pieces and an extra wand Neville is well worth his original value of $3.99, 3.99€.

Overall: Neville is one of the best in the first Harry Potter minifigure series. He has everything that would be expected for this outfit and would look great in a Hogwarts Greenhouse MOC!

    Awesome Cookie

Written by (TFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United States,

Parts: This set includes 5 pieces, all of which have printing except for the generic minifigure series stand. He holds a red cup that says dunk me and has a very fun moulded head.

Playability: The playability for this set would increase even more if you own the gingerbread house set. Even without that set this gingerbread man is one of the greatest minifigures to be made.

Value for Money: Originally costing £1.99 / $2.99 and including 5 pieces, this set is well worth the value. The minifigure looks awesome and it fits in perfectly with anything Christmas!

Minifigure: The minifigure is obviously a gingerbread man. His legs and body have frosting printing on them as a generic gingerbread man would have. His face has a frosting mouth and frosting eyebrows. His eyes look great too. His head is moulded and makes him seem like a three layer gingerbread man. His whole body is covered in little dots just like regular gingerbread is. The detail on this minifigure is amazing!

Overall: Overall this is probably in the top 5 of best minifigure series characters out there. He is one awesome cookie!
