    A great display piece

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

Bought for me as a birthday present by my best friend.

This set is a very fun 5 - Bag build. It can be a little fiddly at times but that is part of the fun. Once completed this set looks brilliant as a display piece and its very fun to watch Fetts helmet come together as the set is assembled.

While not the most tricky set in the world it takes some time and devotion so id recommend this too older or more mature builders.

A great set for any Star Wars fan/.

    A very good Polybag set

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

This Polybag set is a miniature version of one of the First Orders TIE Fighters from the Star Wars Sequel trilogy.

The completed model is about the size of one of the micro fighter sets and looks very good when completed. The set only has 41 pieces but uses quite a diverse range of pieces to achieve the finished look of the TIE fighter.

I bought this set on eBAY for about £3.00 and I believe the RRP Price is about £3.99 so this set is well worth the money.

Due to the amount of pieces this is not a very long build at all, I found it took about 5 minutes although it is an enjoyable build and a very good-looking set when finished.

A good addition to your Lego Star Wars collection especially if you are a nerd for the Star Wars spaceships [like I am]

    Absolutely awesome set.

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

Probably the best set LEGO have released in their current batch of Star Wars sets.

A very fun building experience which took about an hour or so to complete. The set looks absolutely awesome when completed and has [landing gear] which allows it to stand up nicely on your display shelf.

A good set which I got for about 25 pounds so well worth the money!

    Highly recommend.

    Pure Nostalgic fondness

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

One of LEGOs 20th anniversary sets, this set is a very good re-release of the original 2007-08 version which was a great set!

The drop ship is a nice original LEGO design with a detachable troop disembarkation platform, its also quite easy to customize and make unique.

20th anniversary Han Solo is a nice edition to the set.

About a 15 minute building experience.

All round good set and true nostalgic fondness for me.

A great set for the young builders

Written by (AFOL , bronze-rated reviewer) in United Kingdom,

This set is part of the 2019 batch of Star Wars releases by LEGO and at the time of writing is widely available across most stores. This set is made for younger builders and children who are just starting to get into LEGO Star wars and for that reason is a great stepping stone for new builders.

For an AFOL this is a rather quick build about 15 minutes on average and it comes in three separate bags. The set contains 132 pieces which are designed in a way to make the build quick and simple for new builders, I would suggest that this would be a great set for a parent and child to assemble as a team! The set involves the construction of Luke Skywalkers X - Wing as well an Imperial turbo laser turret which fires out small green discs which are a great addition which adds to the sets playability. Both the turbo laser and X -wing look very appealing when the have been constructed so will look good on any display shelf!

The set contains three mini figures: Luke Skywalker in pilots gear with a lightsaber which is a lovely highly detailed mini figure. Luke is accompanied by an R2-D2 mini figure which again is a nice detailed figure with printed decals. There is also a Storm trooper which has the new mould of helmet which I know is controversial to some but I personally think is pretty good, the stormtrooper also carries one of the older style Star Wars guns which is awesome!

In conclusion while this set will certainly not be that challenging for an AFOL it is an excellent set for young builders or children who are just starting out with LEGO Star Wars. I would recommend this too any parent who wants to buy a fun set for their children.
