My Lego adventures must have started in the late 1970s or early 80s. I have vivid memories of having set #381 around. There’s also been #6929 and #6080 in the house (being three brothers has some advantages).

In fact, there has been a lot of Lego in the house, but not much organization. Sooner or later any set we got ended up in one of the three or four big boxes we had for storing Lego. Most of it is still in the parent’s basement; I wonder what treasures can be found there…

I was building with Lego till the mid 90s (new sets had long stopped coming in by then), mostly thanks to a very much younger foster child who constantly asked me to construct cars and other vehicles for him. From memory (which is likely inaccurate) my pre-dark ages Lego was mostly MOCing (and mostly town cars). With my foster brother getting older and me being at my parent’s place less and less, my dark ages hit.

I gradually came out of them 20 years later around Christmas 2013.
