- I'm an AFOL and a casual MOCer who collects Lego sets for the joy of building them...... aaaand also so I can "borrow" pieces for my own creations. There aren't many sets on my shelves that still have all their pieces present and accounted for ;)
Unpopular opinion here, but I actually prefer stickers to prints—and I'm not just saying that to be controversial. I like having the option to keep my parts sticker-free so they can be used in other creations. A stickered piece—especially a theme-related one—has limited use outside of its original purpose. I also save my sticker sheets in a Ziploc bag so I can use them later.
That's just my two cents. I understand that for people who collect sets to display them, stickers are really annoying, and for their sake it's good that Lego prints some stuff. But I like stickers :)
At time of writing I own: 157 sets, 395 minifigs, and 116,944 parts.
My favorite set of all time is 71040 Disney Castle (mostly for the nostalgia of my first trip to Disney World), but I'm also very fond of 21309 Saturn V, 80107 Spring Lantern Festival, and 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay. - Collection:
